Oh, she's allergic to peanut? That's so sad, it's my favorite. Peanut is rich in protein and vitamins. Great for breakfast, lunch, dinner, midnight snack, and anytime of the day.

"Miss Veneracion?"

"M-ma'am?" I pinch the bridge of my nose after brushing my face pagkatapos sagutin ni Professor Nevaeh ang tanong ko.

"Are you okay?"

I replied with a nod.

"I just wanna thank you for helping us, we didn't expect you can lift her up like that."

"It's nothing," maikli kong sagot at pasimpleng tumingin sa loob ng clinic.

"She's okay now, do you wanna come inside to see her? We'll wait you inside okay?"

Sinundan ko lang siya ng tingin hangga't sa makapasok ulit siya sa clinic. Kalmado na ang atmosphere sa loob ng clinic pagkapasok ko, a nurse guided me to her room bandang dulo. The door is open pero may harang pa itong puting kurtina na hinawi ko lang kaunti enough para sumilip lang sa loob.

The corner of my lips turned up making sure that she's fine now, hindi ko ma-imagine itsura niya kasi kanina, I didn't expect to see her like that.

Professor Nevaeh didn't notice me as she was busy conversing with one of their faculty members. Muling binalikan ng mga mata ko si Professor Cordova na nakahiga ngayon sa clinic bed, nagulat ako nang tahimik itong tumingin sa 'kin. I closed the curtain immediately and storm off the clinic. Dang? What is that behavior, Ezra?

Hindi ko rin alam kung bakit para akong maiilang or what. Hindi naman ako disappointed that she's allergic to peanut. What matters now is she's fine and maybe I was just too overwhelmed of the emergency earlier.

The side of my head is resting against my folded arms on my desk, peacefully sleeping. My mind is not working straight kaya naisip ko na lang matulog sa classroom na 'to.

"Ezra Meziah Veneracion daw!"

Alertong bumukas ang mga mata ko at walang muwang na napatayo, "Present!"

Then, the whole class laughed because of my unintended reaction. I tapped my head in embarrassment as reality registered within me, I could feel my cheeks warmed as well. Nag-check na pala kami kanina pa ng attendance, I chose to sit at the back corner of this room so I can take a nap.

"Lead the prayer daw ulit!" May isang gago pang mas pinainit ulo ko, I eyed to whoever said that before turning to Matias.

She whispered, "Ang sabi ni ma'am, palit daw kayo upuan ni Blain."

I lazily mouthed a cuss to Matias before tilting my head to Blain who is sitting at the chair in front sa mismong harapan ni Professor Cordova. She's now fixing her things, ready to exchange seats with me.

"Miss Veneracion," Professor Cordova sternly called again, raking her eyes up and down my body.

Hindi ako nagsalita at sumunod na lang dahil nasa tabi ko na si Blain.
