you wake up and it's still dark out. noah and nick are still talking.
y/n | have you guys been up all night.
N | i'm just getting to know him.
you smile.
y/n | i'm going to go run.
No | it's 6 am
y/n | i do it every morning.
N | you want me to come with you.
y/n | you need to get some sleep.
N | i'm okay.
y/n | go to sleep nick.
N | come on. please.
y/n | no. go to bed.
you smile at him.
N | fine.
you throw on a jacket then walk downstairs. you see avani's car pull out of the driveway. confused, you go knock on payton's door.
y/n | payt?
P | yeah.
you slowly open the door.
y/n | can i come in.
P | sure.
you look in to see his eyes red and water from crying. you walk over and sit by him.
y/n | what happened?
he breaks down into tears. you put your arms around him and he lays his head on your shoulder as his tears soak your coat.
y/n | hey. payton. it's okay. what happened?
P | she broke up with me.
y/n | awe pay.
you sit with him and talk for hours. he cries and rants. you make him laugh. next thing you know it's 12.
y/n | you want to go grab breakfast with me?
P | sure.
y/n | okay. you get dressed. i'm going to go change into dry clothes.
he laughs a little.
y/n | i'll be right back.
P | okay.
you walk out of payton's room and upstairs. you look in the driveway and noah and dixie are still here. you throw on this.

and walk back downstairs. you grab payton and walk to town.
P | why were you up so early?
y/n | i was going to go on a run before i saw avani leaving and i though something was up.
P | well... you were right.
y/n | i'm pretty good, huh?
P | pretty good.
you give him a fist bump.
y/n | where do you want to eat?
P | Larry's?
y/n | sure.
you walk up about another black and walk into Larry's. you seat yourselves and a waitress comes over.
waitress | what can i get started for you today?
y/n | i'm going to have the french toast breakfast with orange juice.
waitress | okay. do you want powdered sugar or whipped cream?
y/n | powdered sugar.
waitress | okay! and for you sir?
P | i'll have the home style pancake plate.
waitress | strawberries blueberry or bananas?
P | strawberries and bananas.
waitress | alright. i'll have that put on for you.
y/n | thanks so much.
you talk about a bunch of random stuff with him. catch up on all the time you lost to him being gone with avani. but he really did love her with everything he had.
P | so how are you and nick?
you look up at him a little confused.
y/n | good...
the waitress brings your food.
waitress | the home style pancake plate with strawberries and bananas and the french toast with powdered sugar.

P | thanks so much.
waitress | your welcome. enjoy.
you start eating. payton looks up at you.
P | i think i miss being close with you guys more than i'll miss being with vani. yeah it was great. she was sweet and we went of fun adventures. but us... we renovated an amusement park by ourselves while police were turning every leaf looking for us. we escaped jail and faked our death and made this beyond wonderful life for ourselves. we went through hell and back together, yes i loved avani but we could never make it as far as me you chase and nick did.
