So the chat begins..
Sid: Hey, lagta h tumhara connection weak h, mujhe sab clear sunayi de raha tha

Naaz: Haan! (😜)Achcha aap kitne baje sote ho?

Sid: Pehle mein 9 baje so jata tha, chahe baaki gharwale jitne bhi der se soye. Par jab se Aish matlab Aishwarya, my wife, mujhe chorke chali gayi tab se koyi time fix nahi h.. Jab tak bahut tired hoke aankhein khud se close nahi hoti tab tak mein jaagta hoon!!

Naaz: (Haaye Rabba, meine usko hurt kar diya) Hmmm..

(She doesn't know what to reply now, finding it difficult to put in words but Sid replies)

Sid: Waise tum kitne baje soti ho?

Naaz: woh kal office late jaana h, kyuki meri ek late evening meeting h US client ke saath isiliye. Aur neend nahi aa rahi thi toh avaihi time pass kar rahi thi.

Sid: You stay alone in Bangalore?

Naaz: Yes, Almost 2 years ho gaye. But I share my accommodation with another girl, Poornima. She works in a call center toh uska night shifts hota h. We spend sometime together on weekends because our timings don't allow us to communicate during week days.

Sid: That's lovely. You are brave and independent girl. I haven't been away from my family except once when I was in USA for my onsite project for 3 months.

Naaz: Achcha! How was your experience than?

Sid: Bahut bura haal tha yaar. Mujhe bahar ka khana itna pasand nahi and meine kabhi bhi khana banana sikha nahi. So it was a mess trying to cook. Few times, I kept the rice on gas without turing on the flame and only realised after half an hour when my stomach growled. Mom used to give me instructions on how to cook at night and I mad blunders in the morning. Pulao banene jata toh khichdi banti aur roti banane jata toh raita.. 😂

Naaz: 😂😂 Toh abhi seek liya kya?

Sid: Nahi. Waha se aane ke baad kabhi zarurat nahi padi. Do you cook?

Naaz: Yes, I love cooking. Infact I have to cook extra for my lunch coz mere office mein mere kuch bhukkad colleagues mera tiffin saaf kar jaate h.. 🤪

Sid: Wow! That's nice! So I can expect some nice dishes in future.

Naaz: (blushes) Sure. I hope you would like them.

Sid: Aish didn't know to cook. She only knew to cook kheer but it was very delicious. Kheer happens to be my favourite sweet.

Naaz: Wow!! Mera bhi semiya kheer favourite h!

Sid: Hey!! That's another coincidence.

Naaz: Hai naaa?? We can be very good friends!!

Sid: You just spoke my words. To be frank, after loosing Aish, I am not sure how long I will take to accept our relation in future, but I can see a good friend in you.

Naaz: I understand and I have exact thoughts that any relation to be cordial needs understanding, communication and caring like good friends.

Sid: Yes, aur honesty bhi.. Chalo abhi jab hum friends h toh confess karo ki tumhe meri awaaz sunayi de rahi thi call pe.. 😜 (Sidharth Shukla ka koi popat nahi bana sakta 😂😂)

Naaz:(Bites her tongue on reading this) Sorry, I was a bit uncomfortable talking over call initially. 🤥

Sid: I understood that.. So since we are friends now, can I call and talk? Meri ungliya dard kar rahi h abhi.

Naaz: 😯 Sure.

Sid calls and Naaz answers it now
Naaz: Aapko kaise pata chala ki meine natak kiya?

Sid: Initially even Aish used to prefer chatting than talking over call. Also, since your mobile internet is also working fine toh I understood that you were uncomfortable.

Naaz: Smart! Very Smart!!

Sid: Yeah, even Aish used to call me smarty-pants! I met Aish on Facebook, we had some mutual friends. Somehow, we started our communication through comment section and then we spoke on messenger. We connected well and then we met personally. I was mesmerized by her beauty. I proposed her on my second visit itself. We got married after 1 years of dating. And she left us in just 10 months. I have seen her suffering due to pain when she had her chemotherapy sessions. She had became so weak that she couldn't walk during her last days. I feel sad since I lost her but sometimes when I remember her suffering, I feel she would be at better place now.

Naaz: I am sure, she must be in a better place now. What about her parents?

Sid: It was very hard for them. She has a younger brother, they somehow survive looking at him. Hey, that reminds me, I told them about you and they want to meet you sometime. Would you be comfortable?

Naaz: I will be happy to meet them. I hope they can see their lost daughter in me which can minimize their pain a bit.

Sid: Hmm.. I think we should grab some sleep now, it's already 2am. Didn't realize the time talking with you.

Naaz: Yeah! You are right! Good night friend!

Sid: Good nite!!

Naaz's POV:
It's been 5 days since we started speaking on phone and we talk for 1 to 2 hours daily on phone. We talk about the day at work, our friends and colleagues, sports, news or any random topic with each other. Today, he invited me to his house on the 9th day of Navratra puja which they celebrate every year. They had a grand celebration every year since Sid's father runs a factory of his own and employs around 100 workers. Sid told me that there will be Lakshmi pooja at factory followed by lunch at their home. He told me there will be around 75-100 guests at home on this occasion who would be their close friends and relatives.

This would be my first time when I am attending for any functions in Bangalore apart from some of my office events. I decided to go for a shopping with my roomie since I had to buy an outfit suitable for the occasion.

I took permission from my parents to attend the function. My parents agreed to it. Sid told me that I would be introduced to everyone as his friend for now since we wanted to make it official only after our parents meet.
