"Sh...sh...Eli, whatever's got you upset, I'm sure we can fix it. It's going to be fine, you're going to be fine." He softly reassured me as his hand ran up and down my back in an effort to calm me down. I tried to collect myself, but it just wasn't happening.

"I'll be right back." He whispered in my ear before getting up. The feeling of serenity vanished as he left and I was surrounded by an icy feeling that gripped my heart. As of now, he was the only anchor that was holding me down from slipping into a bad place.

He appeared a few seconds later with a glass of water and a blanket in his hands. Placing the glass in my hands, he nudged me to drink the water and wrapped the blanket around me. I hadn't even realized I was shivering. Pulling the blanket tighter around me; I took small sips of the water.

Leaning back into the couch, letting it swallow me; I waited for the questions to come, but I was instead met with silence.

"Do you want me to call Caleb and Jacob?"

I almost blanched at the mention of them, but quickly hid it. They were last people I wanted to see right now.

"No, actually. I'm fine now." My voice came out hoarse from all the crying and I grimaced at the sound of it.

"Eli, I'm not stupid. I know you aren't feeling fine." He said in an obvious tone. "Do you want to tell me what's troubling you?"

I was tired, and I didn't want to talk about it, at least not yet. "I don't think I want to."

"Well, if you want to, I'm always here."

"Can you do something for me?" I asked timidly.

"Of course, anything sweetheart."

"Can you please just h-hold me?" I stuttered out.

"Come here." He gave me a soft smile and pulled me closer, tucking me into his side. I rest my head on his chest and closed my eyes; listening to his soothing heartbeat. A few traitorous tears slipped out onto his shirt; he instantly brushed them away and placed a lingering kiss on the crown of my head making my heart swell at the small gesture.

"Eli, I'm going to ask you one more time. Are you sure you don't want to talk it? Talking helps, ya know." I almost didn't hear what he said because of the daze I was in while his hand played with my hair.

"Nothing huge happened." I said with a yawn, hoping the conversation would end there.

"Why were you so upset then and why don't I believe you?" He asked, his voice dripping with scepticism.

I sighed, "I don't want to talk about. Please, just let it go."

He let out a sound of displeasure, but didn't push me any further.

"How come you showed up here?" I asked, but quickly added. "Not to be rude or anything."

He chuckled, "I see you forgot our plans. Glad to know I'm always on your mind."

Oh shit, it completely slipped my mind. I instantly shot up and was about to apologize when he interjected.

"Eli, I'll kiss you if you apologize."

That quickly shut me up, and my cheeks burned red.

"Dammit, I was hoping you wouldn't." He muttered to himself. "Besides, I'd rather spend my time with you like this, all cuddled up and close to me." He said with a smug smile on his beautiful face.

I just shook my head in response.

I let out a squeak of surprise when I was suddenly lifted up and placed on his lap. His hands wound around my waist like coil, pulling me impossibly closer to him. He looked at me with those searing grey eyes of his as his thumb caressed my cheek.

I think I stopped breathing.

"What are you doing?" I finally managed to get out after a moment of stillness.

His eyes which were sparkling with amusement held my utmost attention, "You said you wanted me to hold you. That's exactly what I'm doing and honestly I'm enjoying it."

I hid my face in his neck, so he wouldn't see the effect he had on me, but I'm sure he knew. My body tensed under his touch at the new position.

"Oh, come on. Relax, Eli." He said as he drew random shapes on back. As if that would help.

Gradually, I relaxed while we spoke about random things in the position we were in. After a while, I let out a sigh of content and closed my eyes. A sense of comfort washing over me.

His touch was soothing enough for me to feel drowsy, and I let out another loud yawn, which made Greyson chuckle.

As much as I didn't want to admit it, he had already managed to make his way into my head, heart and soul. Wrapped up in his arms right now, I didn't ever want him to let go of me.

"Go to sleep, Eli." His said, expelling all my thoughts away and lulling me to sleep.

My eyes fluttered open from the immense discomfort I was feeling. It was so goddamn hot. Why was it so hot? The light was on and it almost blinded me. It was still dark outside as I glanced out the window.

I was still on top of Greyson, a sleeping Greyson who was snoring lightly. He must have carried me to my bed when I fell asleep and I was glad he hadn't let me go. There was a crease in between his eyebrows and I lightly smoothed it away.

I let out a soft sigh; I desperately needed to pee and my bladder wasn't going to hold out any longer. I gently picked up his hand and removed it from my waist. Getting up from the bed, I looked down at him, and the crease was back, this time deeper.

His hand moved around in search of something, I grabbed a pillow and placed it near him, he gripped it and pulled it close to him. Not even a few minutes later, I heard his soft snoring. He was so adorable.

Once I tip-toed out of the room, I got done with my business and got myself a glass of water. Leaning against the counter, the sudden pinging from Greyson's phone scared the shit out of me. I picked it up to turn it off, so Greyson wouldn't wake up from the loud sound.

Who the hell kept their phone on full volume?

As I was turning it off, one of his messages caught my eye.
