I partially cracked open my eyes, my hands wandering aimlessly around the couch in search of my phone. When I felt it beneath my hand, I raised it up in level with my face.

9:30 pm.

Releasing it, I heard the soft thud as it hit the couch. Letting out a yawn and closing my eyes again, I made myself comfortable.

My sleepy brain slow in processing the time, but when it finally did, I jumped up from my sleeping position. Once again checking the time on my phone to see if my eyes were playing tricks on me.

9:30 pm.

Damn it, I must have fallen asleep while watching TV. Quickly hauling myself up, I switched off the TV which was still on.

Hurrying to my bedroom, I pulled open my closet scanning all the clothes that hung on the hangers. Going through them, nothing stood out to me and I cursed myself for not pre-planning an outfit.

After a few minutes of deciding, a pair of grey sweatpants, a black crew-neck and my converse completed my simple outfit. He did say to dress comfortably, and I was going to use that to my advantage.

It was also going to get colder as the night progressed and I did not want to regret my choice of clothes and possibly freeze to death.

I sat down in front of the mirror and swiftly tied my hair into a bun, keeping my dark tendrils out of my face. Just as I was done, I heard a knock on the door and I let out a sigh of relief, glad that I was done with getting ready.

Unlocking the door, I had to physically stop my jaw from dropping open at the sight of Greyson.

He was dressed in a simple pair of black sweatpants and a grey sweatshirt paired with white Nike forces. He looked like a whole damn meal. I let my eyes trail down his fit body while he took the opportunity to do the same to me.

"You look absolutely beautiful." He greeted me. Pulling me close to him and pressing a soft kiss against my lips.

"So do you." I replied. "We match."

Even in such a simple attire, I couldn't stop ogling at him.

"Great minds think alike." He said with a smirk. "Are you ready?" He asked, looking down at me with a twinkle in his eyes.

"Yeah, I just need to grab my phone, and we can leave." He followed me in and closed the door behind him.

I made my way to my bedroom to grab my phone which was charging. I stopped for a few seconds to collect myself. Greyson managed to look so attractive and appealing, effortlessly might I add that it left me speechless.

I walked out to see Greyson standing there, in all his glory. When he saw me, a breathtaking smile adorned his face and he held his hand out to me. Like a moth to a flame, I walked towards him placing my hand in his.

We made our way to his car, hand in hand and in silence. My heart thudding in my chest the entire way, but I felt content at the same time. Like a true gentleman, he held the door open for me and closed it once I was in.

He got into the car and began driving with the soft hum of music playing in the background.

"So what are we doing that requires the whole night?" I asked, curiously.

"The first thing we are doing is getting food." He said with a smug smile, knowing very well that the curiosity was eating me.

Pulling up into the drive-through, we kept teasing each other back and forth until it was our turn to order. We ordered a ton of food which Greyson graciously paid for, after a disagreement between the two of us about whether I should foot half the bill. The stubborn Greyson won in the end.

Munching on fries, I asked, "So now what?"

"Now, patience is key." He said in an enigmatic tone.

Comfortable silence surrounded us; I let my head lay on the headrest and gazed at the twinkling stars lighting up the dark sky.

Twenty minutes into the ride, the area turned desolate and I looked to Greyson in confusion, who had his attention on road with a small smile on his face.

"You're not seriously going to kill me and dump my body here, are you?" He looked at me in surprise and laughed at the serious look on my face, but didn't answer me.

"Okay, Greyson buddy. You gotta give me something now, do I need to be scared for my life?"

"No Eli, I'm not going to kill you." I let out a sigh of relief. "At least, not yet." I smacked his arm.

"Hey! I'm driving here."

"If I'm going down, you're coming down with me." I grumbled, crossing my arms over my chest.

After another five minutes, the car came to a stop and Greyson said excitedly, "We're here."

Here; was a small clearing surrounded by trees, the glimmer of the stars our only source of light.

Greyson was already out of the car with the trunk open and he was removing something. I got out of the car and saw him trying to set up a projector screen, which he was struggling with.

Chuckling at him struggling, I walked over to help him set up whatever he wanted to.

He looked at me with a small smile on his face, "I wanted it to be surprise."

"Well, you looked like you needed help." I said teasing him.

After we got done setting up the projector screen, Greyson went on to find the perfect angle for the projector while I laid out the blankets and pillows in the back of his car and made myself comfortable, watching Greyson fiddle with the projector till he was satisfied.

I was dumbfounded when I saw what movie he had picked. When he caught sight of my expression, he let out a loud laugh and said something I didn't expect him to say.

"What? It's a classic." I snickered and nodded in agreement. This boy never failed to surprise me.

It was Mean Girls.

Grabbing the bags of food, he sat down next to me and pulled a blanket over us and he placed the food in between us.

Once we were comfortable along with food in our mouths, he pulled me close to him and I curled into his side, enjoying the food, movie and most of all him.

After the movie ended, we just lay next to each other, letting the silence speak for us and enjoying the tranquility that surrounded us.

I turned my head to face Greyson and studied him; he was gazing at the stars, lost in his own thoughts. The sparkle of the stars shining down on him making him look ethereal and alluring.

"Tell me." I said to him bringing him out of his daze. He turned to face me, his grey eyes meeting my green ones.

"What?"

"Everything." I said softly, but I couldn't pay attention to what he was saying instead my attention was on the way his warm hand was brushing away a tendril of my hair which lay on my face.

Tucking it behind my ear, he brought his hand to rest on my cheek and caressed it gently with the pad of his thumb making me lean into his hand.

"Grey." I whispered softly. "Thank you."

"For what, Eli?"

"For today. Nobody's ever done anything like this for me. Nobody has cared for me like this. I've never felt like this with anyone before and I didn't think that I would, but you changed everything."

"Eli, I need to tell you something." He said bleakly. The shift in his tone and the sadness in his eyes made me want to take away all his troubles.

I placed my index finger on his lips and shushed him, "No, Grey. You don't have to. Let's just be happy for however long we can. You can tell me whatever you want to tomorrow."

He just nodded in response; brought our interlocked hands and placed them on his chest. Close to his heart.

We laid next to each other, basking in each other's presence, under a sky full of stars just for us.
