When Tom thought about meeting the love of his life for the first time, he thought it would be from across the room at a fancy dinner or on vacation somewhere near the beach. He never thought that it would be when he went to meet the CEO of a new company across the street from him.

When he walked into the lobby for the first time he was amazed at how clean it was. The last owner had wasted his money on booze, drugs, and women, the place became a dump and eventually was taken by the government.

The building now was bright, marble floors that reflected the light coming in from the giant windows. The workers around him wore expensive suits and most were holding blueprints.

Tom walked up to the front desk and when the woman sitting there looked up her eyes widened. Behind her were different signs saying who was on what floor. On the very top he guessed was the CEOs office.

Floor 35: Y/n L/n

"Hi! How can I help you,"

"Hi, I'm here to see Y/n L/n,"

"Ok, and do you have an appointment?" She asked.

"Uh, no," Tom said and the woman nodded.

"Ok, and what's your name?" She asked and Tom's eyebrows raised high, it was obvious she knew who he was, in America it was almost impossible not to know who Tom Holland was.

"Tom Holland," he said and the woman nodded again.

"Ok, if you'll go sit in those chairs over there I'll call you over when Ms L/n is ready for you," Tom nodded and made his way over to the chairs, pulling his phone out to answer emails for work.

Y/n L/n didn't have time for visitors when there was so much work to be done. She was the busiest she'd been in a while and didn't want anything to distract her.
Her nephew, Cameron, sat at the circular table in her office, reading a book. The best she could do for him while she worked on her computer.

When her lobby receptionist sent her a text that Tom Holland was in her lobby waiting for her she wanted nothing more than to rip her hair out of her head.

She quickly sent a text back saying that she wasn't going to see him. A few minutes later her phone started ringing, without checking to see who it was she picked up.

"Yes?" She said into the phone, she could feel a panic attack coming and tried her best to breathe in and out.

"Y/n, I'm saying this as your friend, you need to let Tom Holland see you, do you know who he is?!" Her lobby receptionist, Elaine said and Y/n sighed.

"Yes, I do, the CEO of the bank across the street," Y/n said typing information with one hand into her computer.

"Yes, but he's also one of the most eligible bachelors in the world!"

"Ok, then why don't you go after him,"

"Oh Y/n, sometimes I think you are destined to be alone. He's your age not mine! Besides wouldn't it be romantic? Two CEOs falling in love, only a day apart in birth?" Elaine sighed, she was obviously a hopeless romantic.

"Are you forgetting one small thing? He's one of the coldest people around, some people say he has no emotions and that it's impossible for him to love. I'm looking for someone who can actually feel things," Y/n said and she heard Elaine sigh through the phone.

"Y/n you need to make a decision, I can tell he's getting impatient,"

"I already told you I'm not going to see him. I have a shit ton of things to do today already," Y/n pulled the phone away from her ear when Cameron gasped at her.

"You didn't hear that from me," she pointed at him as he started to giggle. She put her phone back up to her ear.

"Fine, I'll just tell him you have to cancel,"

"Thank you! I'll repay you at some point," Y/n said. Even though she was the CEO of a company she created, Y/n was the most laid back boss ever. She got along with everyone in her company and always made them feel welcomed.

"Yeah, yeah," Elaine said as Y/n hung up.

Elaine didn't want to tell the super hot man sitting in the lobby waiting area that Y/n didn't want to see him. That seemed like the hardest task in the world at the moment.

"Mr Holland?" Elaine called out to the man and he looked up from his phone, she waved him over, her heart beating fast. "Unfortunately Ms L/n is indesposed at the moment, but you may schedule an appointment for another day," she offered and Tom nodded. He turned around and was about to walk out of the building when he got an idea.

Turning back around he saw the elevator doors opening and a few people getting out, without another thought he headed to the elevator.

"Mr Holland?" Elaine called out but he didn't turn around. She saw where he was headed and practically jumped out of her seat.

Tom made it to the elevator, pressing the button for floor thirty-five and as the door started to close he saw Elaine walking towards him.

"I'm sorry," he said as the doors shut in her face.

"Oh god! Y/n's going to kill me," Elaine whispered when a sound caught her attention. The second elevator doors opened and Elaine shot inside pressing the thirty-fifth floor and praying Y/n wouldn't fire her.

When Y/n's office door opened she wanted to scream bloody murder. When Tom Holland stepped into her office she wanted to wipe that annoyingly handsome smirk off his face.

"I thought I said I wasn't going to see you," She said as he sat down in front of her desk without her permission.

"Well you seem free right now," he said in his smooth british accent. She was about to respond when Elaine burst into her office.

"Y/n I'm so sorry I had no idea that he-" She was out of breath and gasping for air when Y/n interrupted her.

"It's fine Elaine," She said and looked over at Cameron who was staring at Tom. "But while you're here, will you take Cameron to the food court," She said and Elaine nodded, holding her hand out to Cameron who ran to her. Once they were gone Y/n looked back at Tom.

"Your sons adorable," He said knowing perfectly well that he wasn't Y/n's and she scoffed.

"He's not my son," she said, not missing Tom's smirk.

"Well you're here, we met. What do you want?" She asked looking Tom straight in the eye. Now she knew the rumours were true, there were no emotions behind his eyes, if she didn't know any better she'd say that he was dead.

As for Tom, the rumours had also been confirmed. He could easily see that Y/n was the most beautiful woman he had ever met and see exactly why she was one of the most eligible bachelorettes in the country.

"I just want to talk," he said in a matter of fact way.

"Really? You're wasting my time 'cause you want to talk?" She asked, disbelief in her voice for the man sitting in front of her.

"Yeah, I mean I did go through all of that trouble just to see you so can't you just give me twenty minutes?" He asked again with no emotion in his voice. Y/n thought for a few seconds.

"Ten minutes," she said looking at the clock.

"Fine, ten minutes then I'll leave,"

"Good. So start talking."
