We need to talk. The word that every kid fears to hear from their parents. I had only heard the words once in my entire life when I had to learn about the talk. It was a terrible day that has forever been lodged into my memories.

I had gotten a text from my father around eleven-thirty saying that we need to talk, now it's Twelve forty-five and I'm still terrified. I stood outside of the door that read Robert Downey Jr in big official letters.

I finally worked up the courage to knock, waiting for approval to walk in. I waited a few minutes before hearing a faint "come in". Even from outside the door, my father sounded threatening.

Growing up I had been as stubborn as my father, so alike that it was easy for him to find ways to punish me when I did something wrong. I wondered what was going to happen.

Walking in his office I saw him sitting at his desk, glasses off, and resting beside a probably now cold cup of coffee. He was currently looking down at the work on his desk as I sat in one of the chairs opposite him.

"You said we need to talk, I'm here," I said, trying not to show how scared I was.

"Yes, we do," He leaned back in his chair and put his glasses on.

"What about?" I said bouncing my leg up and down. A clear sign of nerves, I know, but I couldn't help it.

My father smirked before talking.

"It's about Thomas Holland, I need to know something," he took a long pause and I was about ready to kill him.

"Are you seeing each other?" The question took me by surprise, I expected him to start laughing and ask me something even more terrifying but nothing came.

When I saw the serious look on his face I knew he wasn't joking. I suddenly burst out laughing, almost falling out of my chair while he gave me a confused look.

"Y-you th-think that we are d-dating? HAHAHA!" I wiped away a tear that had rolled down my face.

"Well, yes! You guys talk all the time and every time I see you go in his office you always close the door," he says trying to defend his question as I calmed down.

"No, Dad, I promise you we aren't dating," I said regaining my posture and giving the old man across from me a smile.

"Oh," he truly didn't know what to say so I stood up.

"Can I go now? I have work to do," He nodded and I made my way to the door.

"Oh, and Y/n," I turned to show him I was listening. "You're not taking part in the Butler case are you?" I gulped shook my head,

"No sir," I said and he nodded, giving me permission to leave.

I left quickly and practically ran to the interrogation rooms. Fully aware that I just lied to my father and not to mention, my boss.

Many curse words were running through my head as I made my way to rooms. Upon arriving I was already out of breath. Tom and Juliet stood in front of the glass and watched me catch my breath as I put my hands on my knees and bent over.

"Did you already forgot about the interrogation? We just talked about it this morning," I heard Tom say and I heard Juliet giggle at his words.

"I *Pant*didn't *Pant* forget. *Pant* Came from *Pant* father's office," I said standing up straight again and wiping my forehead off.

"Really? What did he want to talk about?" Juliet said from beside Tom, I could tell that she was standing closer than she should have, Tom seemed to notice too and walked over to stand in front of the glass, much to Juliet's disappointment.

I ignored her question. Not in a rude way of course but mostly because I just didn't want to answer. I walked over to the glass and looked at the folder in my hands and then through the glass.

In the interrogation room sat the first boy on the list: Nathanial Campbell. He had short hair and glasses on, he was wearing a queen t-shirt and wore plain jeans. He was the definition of geek.

I was about to go in and start when Tom placed a hand on my shoulder. From behind him, I could see Juliet tense up as soon as we made physical contact.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" He whispered loud enough for only the two of us to hear, making Juliet move in closer to try and be apart of the conversation.

"Positive," I said before opening the door and walking in, Tom and Juliet stayed and watched from behind the glass. Nathanial sat up straight in his chair the second the door opened.

"Hello Nathanial," I said smiling and sitting in the chair opposite him.

"Please call me Nathan," he said and I nodded, giving him a warm smile.

"Ok, so I'm just going to start by saying that this is going to be videotaped so that we can go back and watch it later. But before we start my name is Y/n Downey," I put my hand out to shake, which he nodded and shook my hand.

This will go well, right?
