"SHIT!" I paced back and forth, anxiety has been in my system for over an hour. "What do I do?"

"Are you sure it was him? It could've been anyone." Dani, a friend of mine that I met on twitter, who just happened to be in the dream smp fandom, was on a discord call with me. Video chat was one because I was panicking badly.

"I'm sure of it. I've seen him twice now, the second time was for a longer time. I swear it was him." I paused to look at her and she looked at me in disbelief. "You can't tell anyone else about this though. I want him to remain faceless, unknown to the public until he's ready. Plus.. He doesn't know I'm a fan."

"Yeah yeah, okay. Are you gonna tell him the next time you see him? Or at all?" She paused with a sigh. "Because that-a-way, you'll just stop being anxious about this whole thing and-"

"No. Not yet. Not until I can confirm it. There's a 5% chance that it's not him." I cut her off.

"A 5% chance. You're 95% sure it's him." She scoffed and said something else inaudible.

"I know I say that it is, he looks exactly the way that he has described but hotter, and he's freakishly tall. Just..." I trailed off.

"Just what (Y/n)?" She looked at me, waiting for me to answer.

"His voice sounds too much like Dream."

"Did you catch his name?" She watched me closely. I decided to sit down.

"No. But.." I paused to think. "Wait, I have a picture of the cake I sold him." I scrolled through my phone and sent it to her in our discord dms.

"No shit. He posted a picture of the cake on twitter on his second account. Wait, you're not playing a prank on me? You could've just taken the picture off his twitter." She squinted her eyes, looking at the photo then looking at her phone to find the tweet. I'm guessing.

"HE TWEETED????" I panicked again. "I had my phone off because I was still at work."

"I did not see this. I swear I took the picture that I sent you. It's not the same picture. Mine was taken in the bakery. He took his picture in his house." I noticed the differences right away.

"Huh, you're really not trolling me." She looked between his picture and my picture.

"I'm not smart enough to pull this off."

"You're right." She laughs a bit. "But for real now. You know what he looks like, what are you gonna do?" Her laughter stops.

"Nothing. You're the only person that knows."

"You already know I'm not gonna tell anyone." A pause, silence ripped apart every bone in our body. "Right? You trust me?"

"Yeah. I trust you." I stifled a laugh. "Of course I trust you."

We talked for a little bit, since I've been so busy with work lately, then said our goodbyes after a few hours and hung up. I decided to try and relax to calm my nerves so I ordered takeout and decided to take a quick shower before the food came. I slipped into some comfortable pajamas right before there was a knock on the door. I paid the person, closed the door, and hopped on the couch, turning on Netflix and watching a movie.

I didn't even know that after five movies, I fell asleep, and didn't even feel like hours had passed by, but I woke up to an alarm and it was way too early for my liking. I had to open the bakery this morning. As much as I loved this job, I was not looking forward to opening the bakery.

It's been a few days since the call I had with my friend, and a while since I saw the man (who I will identify as "Maybe Dream"). I haven't told anyone else about "Maybe Dream", even my parents. I just can't. Well, no. It's not because I can't. It's because of the possibility that it is Dream and I don't want to hurt his privacy.

On another note, there were quite a few people here at the bakery, enjoying the smells of the food baking, reading or scrolling through their phones, and sitting in the various chairs and tables scattered throughout the room. "Hello, what would you like today?" I smiled, waiting for the couple to order. The door opened and this "Maybe Dream" man popped in, looking around before noticing that I was looking at him. I looked away and decided to do my job, ignoring the fact that I was staring right at him a second ago, embarrassed that he knew that.

I took their order, told them the price, and they paid, going to sit down to wait for their order. The "Maybe Dream" man walks up, since he was 2nd in line. I took a couple deep breaths, in and out. "The cake was really good the other day." He said, looking at the food display in the case.

"That's good. We did our best." I say. "What would you like to order sir?"

"Sir? Yuck. Just call me Clay."

I looked away even though he was still distracted by the food decision and widened my eyes, almost coughing from the sound of his voice matching the way he said "Clay". I composed myself while he was looking at the menu, and was done when he was ready to order.

He ordered, paid, and went to take a seat, scrolling through his phone. I go to the back where the couple are baking away. They handed me a couple plates of the people that ordered food. I went up front and handed them their food, making my way over past Clay to another table, giving them their food as well. I filled their water and went back to the back near the couple baking.

I was waiting for Clay's food. "Do you know that young man? The one that told his name to you?" The older lady asked.

"I don't." I lied. "He came and picked up that one cake, the 'Happy Birthday B-word' one."

"Oh the happy birthday cuss word?" The older man asked.

"Yeah. But I ran into him at the store I used to work at so.." I trailed off and they gave me his plate as well as an extra, for me I'm guessing.

"Go ahead and take your first break. I need a little bit of time away from the ovens so I will cover the cash register." The older lady said and shooed me towards the front.

I went over and handed Clay his plate and he said "Thank you". I looked around but all chairs, seats, and tables were taken. Sighing in defeat, I spoke up. "Can I sit here?"

He looked up and looked around to see the same thing. I doubt he was gonna say no in the first place. "Of course." So I pull the chair out and sit down, eating and scrolling through my phone, deciding to text my friend about the name of "Maybe Dream".
