Third person's POV
Ruvimbo had been furious it's not that she had not found out that Alex was Vusi's mate when she had asked the black oracle to do her one last favor by showing her who the mate was and when Alex was attacked at the river by the black oracle and she saved her she knew the black oracle had showed her the signs.
Her plan was to destroy her once and for all before she gets involved with Vusi but it turns out she was too late because from the way Vusi was now distancing himself from her it showed the spell she had put on him had been wearing off and she had to something,she wasn't going to stand and watch her man be taken and her family legacy go down,she had to get revenge and the heir is the one that fit perfectly to weaken the strength of the whole clan and after that it would be a walk over.
She passed by the mirror and walked back to look at herself,she looked like a used rag,scratches all over her body and bite marks too,she definitely wasn't going to stand this anymore,she had been sleeping with Vusi's uncle Nduma to get favors and for once he was the first person who pretended to like her,but to hell with him too because he had been ruining her plans and he slowed her down too which is not what she needed.Bad sex,bad kissing,the smell of cheap cigarettes and snuff was gonna make her crazy,after killing everyone else she will then kill that good for nothing idiot for now she had to keep him.
After she felt like she was done with her plan,Ruvimbo headed to the forest with seeds of distraction hunters will be here anytime soon so she planted then in the middle of the deep forest,the seeds will grow in a minute attack the people with their stingy smell and turn into rouges just like that,after that she goes on to bake Vusi's favorite blueberry muffins then added a lizard's tail and a little bit of bad boy magic like she had read in her spell book then she was ready to go,this always works she thought and went in for her mission.
The hunters ran into the forest like wind,passing trees with a blair,they were blood thirsty and when they came to hunt every night they didn't come to play,eyes red and sharp carnivorous teeth out,they were ready to hunt and they killed every animal that came their way, quenching their thirst was their mission.
A deer passed by and within a blink of an eye it was caught,it's neck ripped and the hunter aimed for the veins,there it goes,warm blood,he felt in flow on his tounge before he swallowed it,this was their heaven,that's why they always favored hunting days rather that drinking stored blood in refrigerators at home.
They had been hunting for about an hour moving to the center of the forest where they would all meet up turn back and go home,this protocol has been made when Alex arrived so she didn't know the secrets of the village.One of the hunters was in for the fifth kill then he would be done for the night.
He sprinted climbing tree after tree chasing the animal he was aiming,the animal stopped to drink water on a small stream that's when he jumped from the tree,went for its throat and snapped it then he went straight for the veins,he drank the blood of the animal quenching that last bit of thirst he had when he saw a green light towards their meeting point which was strange because they was never a green at thier meeting point.He carried the animal he had brought for the kitchen as every hunter was required to do so for the women and children.
The moment he arrived at the meeting point where the green light was he saw one of the hunters attacking another hunter and when he tried to stop him he saw that the hunter had been drinking the blood of another hunter which was really disgusting to him,so he went and pushed him off and they started fighting,he noticed that the attackers eyes had turned white and so where his veins,he took out his horn and blew it before the affected went in for his throat and sank his sharp teeth in him.
When other hunters heard the horn they all carried their animals and hurried to the meeting point those who got there first where affected by the green light and started attacking other vampires just like that,one hunter before he was attacked by an affected vampire told the others to run and they did so telling every hunter who was on their way to the meeting point to make a u-turn and get out of the forest because other vampires had gone rouge.
Ruvimbo seeing this while she sat in a tree close to the meeting point was pleased her work was a success only twenty were affected but she could work with that,she jumped from the tree she sat in and sprinted to the meeting point were the hunters were walking around like zombies,she stood in front of them and told them to stop,she instructed them on what she wanted them to do and that she had hypnotized them and they would change back on the night of the black moon from that night they would only come out after sunset and attack to kill she instructed them.pulling off the plant she had planted she sprinted out of the forest.
When Vusi and Dumi arrived home they had been shocked with what happened that night they decided to part ways and present the matter to the Dare the next morning.The time Vusi arrived home he saw his favorite blueberry muffins on the table with an apology note from Ruvimbo,he wasn't in the mood to read it but he went for the blueberry muffins,after cleaning up the plate he went to sleep but woke up an hour later and he felt like he was about to transform into a beast again which hasn't happened in months.
He reaped his clothes then crawled to the floor his veins started turning black and so as his eyes,his sharp rusty black teeth came out and so as his nails,his body started growing out white fare and he increased in size and length then his thirst for blood for someone innocent or human came from nowhere and he jumped out of the window.
In thirty minutes time he was standing on Alex's door step,he kicked it down and came inside,on the sleeping mat lay two woman but he could smell a human from a mile away so he knew which one was human,he pulled the woman by the leg then threw her outside with so much force.Alex was thrown she woke up feeling her head pounding and when she looked up she saw a beast looking at her.
She tried to run but the beast grabbed her and threw her again,she landed on someone's door no matter how she tried fighting it over powered her,Alex's ankle was hurt badly so was her whole body,the beast carried her then moved her face aside to leak her throat with its long tounge,then its teeth grazed her neck and she screamed.
When Tinashe opened her eyes she saw Alex wasn't on her sleeping place and the door was opened so were other things misplaced so she ran outside and saw a beast fighting her friend and she immediately knew who it was,her brother shit no,she called for the creature to drop her and when it refused she took a bow and an arrow and pierced it several times then it dropped Alex and started fighting Tinashe by that time Alex already blacked out.
They fought for a while and since Tinashe wasn't powerful as the beast was it ended up attacking her and hurting her badly,when the beast wanted to snatch off her neck Tinashe told the beast not to kill her since she was his only sister and since the poison started to wear off the beast stopped but someone stabbed it with a sword from behind and it fell down and Vusi turned back into his normal self.After seeing this at the far end of the sleeping quarters Ruvimbo wasn't that much pleased but she hopped they all died to make the process easier then she walked away.
