Chapter 4 - Entertainment Circle Reality Show 4

The television crew were quite supportive of the idea that the two kids had come up with. They had originally planned several tasks for the two to do, but now that they've seen these two children had such a plan, they felt like Zhou Zekai's outlandish idea wasn't that bad. Thus, after a short discussion with Zhou Zekai, the television crew began cooperating with Zhou Zekai's plans.

After lunch, Zhou Zekai and Tang Bingyu went into the mountain with Yang Susu as their guide!  

That's right!

Yang Susu's parents made a living from mushrooms and other fungi that they harvested and dried to sell. Yang Susu usually helped her parents with the harvest, so she was pretty familiar with the path up the mountain.

They brought the youngest, Yang Le, with them. The four of them hiked up the mountain together with the staff behind them. The mountain roads here were very rugged. Fortunately, it had been a while since the last time that it rained. Although the mountain roads were rugged, it was still bearable.

Before they came, everyone deliberately sprayed mosquito repellent on themselves. Tang Bingyu and Zhou Zekai both wore bamboo baskets on their backs. They planned on helping to harvest some mushrooms later.

 
As they hiked, the dense woods brought a great shock to Tang Bingyu. In the past, she had always gone to scenic locations with her parents. The plant-life there were taken care of by the staff. It was the first time that Tang Bingyu saw this kind of wild environment. There were so many foreign things around her, the grass and scattered stones beneath her feet made her very cautious of each step she took.
 

By right there shouldn't be any mushrooms growing in the woods, since it's already autumn. Yet the trees near Ming'an Village were very close together, so the growth period for the mushrooms was longer. From summer to almost winter, there were various types of fungi found in the deep forest.

Although Zhou Zekai recognized several types of mushrooms, he was still overwhelmed at the sight of this many. Some mushrooms grew by the tree roots, some were on flat ground. The ones with vivid colors were all poisonous, while those that looked more normal were safe for humans to eat.

"This kind of mushroom is edible, we can pick these."

Yang Susu held up the mushroom in her hand and explained. She didn't know the official names of these mushrooms, only which could be sold and which they could eat themselves. As she picked the mushrooms, she told Zhou Zekai and Tang Bingyu this information.

They nodded, and seriously searched for mushrooms in the forest. Come to speak of it, this was the first time for them to pick mushrooms. The forest was very humid and a bit chilly. Luckily though, they weren't dressed too lightly. On the side, a cameraman filmed them as they harvested mushrooms....

Tang Bingyu had never thought about this kind of life before, she was quite enthusiastic about harvesting mushrooms. She kept looking for new mushrooms to pick. Soon her eyes fell upon a mushroom growing under a tree bark and started towards it. Who would have known that she would slip on the tree leaves, falling and twisting her ankle.

Zhou Zekai and the cameraman heard the noise. Worried, Zhou Zekai rushed over.

"Are you okay?"

As he slowly pulled her up, he assessed Tang Bingyu's condition. Meanwhile, Tang Bingyu was about to cry. Seeing Zhou Zekai being this concerned over her made her want to cry.
