"Father in-law..." I called without turning my head back. "You sound like a teenage girl on her period" I stated with an indifferent tone. Translation, you whine like a bitch.
From the corner of my eyes I could see Ezara's lips curled up into his mouth and his eyebrows almost touched his hairline. A dangerously low growl came from my dearest father in-law.
"I have been tolerating your presence. Do not let me lose my temper" he stated threateningly and I chuckled.
"Well, everyone's got a temper..." I turned to face the partially giant man who glared down at me with hatred in his eyes. "But the..." my come back was cut short by Mrs Dark.
"Darling, You shouldn't cause a scene right now" she appeared and took a hold of her husband's hand, interlocking their fingers.
"Raelynn" she said curtly.
"Liana" I replied matching her curt tone with a sarcastic but graceful smile. She stared at me for a moment like she wanted to say something but decided against it and dragged her husband away.
"You're poking the lions in their den" Ezara pointed out.
"I want to be left alone, but if they're looking for a fight I should meet their expectations don't you think?" I asked.
"Right. Excuse me Luna, I have matters I need to attend to" he stated with a bow after looking into the crowd.
"Luna... it seems she is not here" Karen stated after Ezara disappeared into the crowd.
"It seems so..." I replied with obvious disappointment in my tone.
"Lisa?" I called out and she quickly scurried to my side.
"Ye-yes your highness" she stammered.
"Prepare the moon section, I'll be staying there. Also, look for Sergio, he should bring my luggage in before the rest arrive tomorrow" I ordered without even a glance in her direction.
"Of course Luna" she bowed and made her way to leave.
"Oh and Lisa..." I called and she stopped in her tracks.
"I should not find anything peculiar" I warned about surveillance of any kind.
"Yes Luna. I will make sure of it" she bowed once more and left.
I'm finally going to move into the palace, where I should have been in the first place. I'm glad that I have my maids with me and I know everything I need to know. I pondered on where to stay that would be safe for me, then my maids informed me about the moon section which was made specifically for the Luna supreme. It's a whole floor in a wing of the palace with Two large living rooms, a kitchen, dining area, five bedrooms each equipped with an en-suite and an office. It is perfect, that way my maids can stay with me.
In order to wreck havoc I need my foes to see me everyday. And worst case scenario; I don't make it, then I need to secure my child's safety and happiness by making allies. I can never trust the Dark clan, they can toss my child aside and embrace Hilary's child or even pretend to care while chipping away the child's light and happiness. Like they did to me.
"Your highness! It's little Amara!" Karen squealed and I turned to see Amara in a white dress thrashing in the arms of a maid by the entrance.
"She's here! Let me go!" She screamed, though there was quite a distance between us, I could still hear her screams. My strides were fast and the closer we got the clearer the banter between Amara and maid became.
"You can't be in here, please let's join the other kids!" The struggling blonde maid tried to reason with the little girl who was more than just persistent.
