I rolled over on my bed as my music blared through my small speakers.
Incoming FaceTime call from Bubba smiling moon emoji and pink sparkling hearts.
I answered the call and saw his camera pointing at the ceiling.
"Bubba, why am I looking at your ceiling?" I asked putting my face in the camera.
"Key.. can you come over?" He asked with his voice cracking.
"Yeah, you want me to bring anything?" I asked sliding my nike slides on.
"No." I bit my bottom lip not knowing what else to say.
"I'll be there in like 15 minutes , you want ta' stay on the phone?"
"No, be safe beautiful."
20 minutes later.
"Hey bub." I softly smiled hugging Jasani's torso, he tightly hugged me back as if he didn't want to let me go.
"Hey peanut." He said softly not breaking the hug.
"You okay?" I asked hearing him sniffle, he put his head on my shoulder not speaking.
"Hm, lets go sit , okay?" He slightly nodded letting me walk in front of him to his bedroom, I let him sit on the small couch that was in his room and sat on his lap.
He put his his head in the crook of my neck , I bit my bottom lip trying to think of what to say, it was obvious that he was in a bad mood so I wasn't going to ask if he was okay, I was gon ask the second best thing.
"You wanna talk about it?" I asked as I felt my shirt get wet.
"No, I—I just want your company right now." He said hoarsely.
"Okay." I placed a kiss on his forehead and wrapped my arms around his neck allowing him to silently cry.

"Hey mama, hey sis." I crouched down replacing their flowers like I did every Saturday.
"I been real sad lately," I admitted .
"Ian popping percs anymore , and Ian been smoking too much weed no more either, I can't take credit fa' that though." I softly chuckled wiping one of my tears off.
"I met this girl a few months back, she real nice and beautiful , she got me smiling at my phone and sh- stuff, I knew if she found out I was popping percs she wouldn't want to talk ta' me no more so I flushed them down the toilet like I should've been did." I slightly chuckled thinking of Ke'lannie.
"We ain't together yet but we will be soon, I'm just tryna make sure she ain't gon leave me when stuff get hard." I expressed biting down on my bottom lip.
"I know y'all woulda' been made me ask ha' out and tell me to stop being scary." I chuckled dusting off their combined gravestone off.
"Well lemme go back home ta' her before she wakes up, I miss y'all so much.. bye." I wiped another tear off heading back to my car.
I sat in the drivers seat finally letting my tears out.
"Fuck man!" I hit the wheel breaking down, no matter what I did I felt like I wasn't loved, what if there isn't any love left for me.
I sat there for a couple of more minutes and finally went back home.
