Baby Merlin

We all need this in our life.

Arthur's POV

When I went out to investigate a sorcerer's attacks, I did not expect this.

The knights huddled around the sleeping toddler, and I just stared at the sleeping raven haired boy. Who was my manservant in baby form.

"Have to admit, he's a pretty cute kid." Gwaine said, staring at the sleeping toddler.

The noise woke him up, and Gwaine covered his mouth. 

The boy blinked his blue eyes. "Where am I? I thought I was playing with Will."

I looked down. Of course young Merlin thought Will was still alive.

Leon looked at me. "Wasn't he Merlin's dead friend?"

Merlin looked at Leon. "Hi."

Leon smiled. "Hi."

No one's POV

The boy met eyes with Arthur, then looked down on his cape.

With a large inhale, the boy stood. All the knights looked, surprised by the kid's fast actions. 

"I'm not evil! Don't kill me! I can't control it!" Merlin ran, and Gwaine was the first to react.

Turns out if you chase a kid, they run faster.

All of the knights ran after young Merlin, while Arthur was in the lead. 

"We're not going to kill you!" Arthur cried out. 

The boy stopped. "What? Of course you are. Everyone knows the King kills innocents." Arthur winced.

Percival took advantage of the boy's halt, and grabbed his hand.

Merlin shrieked. 

He held on.

"I'm sorry, okay! Mother said I'll be safe. It wasn't Camelot knights that I killed."

Gwaine dropped his sword. "What?"

Arthur looked into the guilty eyes of his manservant.

Stepping closer, the boy flinched as Arthur walk over.

"I didn't mean to do it."

Arthur put a hand on his shoulder. "It's fine. We are not going to kill you. I am king now."

Merlin looked into his eyes. "The other side of the coin..." The young boy whispered. 

Arthur blinked. "What?"

"That just came in my head."

Arthur nodded. "Okay."

Merlin looked up. "It's getting late. Mom says I'm not allowed out after 7. Apparently Camelot guards patrol at that time."

Gwaine laughed. 

"You know, big Merlin has a sleeping bag you could use."

Merlin looked over at him. "Big Merlin?"

The gang explained the situation to him.

Merlin clapped. "So you all are my friends?"

They nodded. 

A smile danced on his face. "Do you know my secret?"

Arthur looked at the other knights. I don't think so."

His smile disappeared. "Oh."

Merlin's POV

I don't think their gonna kill me.
