Chapter 60

Forth's pov:

We  talked about random things and just enjoyed the surroundings.

Beam laid down on his side with his head on my lap facing away from me.

I gently ran my fingers through his hair.

"Sorry for doubting you..." He said softly after while.

I shook my head.

Of course you would doubt me. I would too if i were in your shoes. No need to apologise.

He hummed.

He took one of my hands and played with my fingers.

I smiled looking at him being relaxed and just enjoying laying there.

We stayed like that for a while in comfortable silence.

"You're having dinner at Tae Darvid's place tonight right?" He spoke up.

I hummed.

He looked hesitant.

Do you not trust him?

"I just don't want to risk you going into danger...." He gripped my hand tightly.

I smiled.

It's ok. You know i can fight pretty well. I'll be fine. And from the way he talked, i don't think I'm going to be in danger.

He pursed his lips and nodded.

He turned so he was now laying on his back.

He kept staring at me.

I tilted my head.

"You're not going to leave after you become successful?" He asked.

I blinked.

I could see insecurity in his eyes.

I typed quickly.

I would be an ungrateful brat if i were to leave the person who helped me become successful.
I'm not going anywhere. My home is with you. I can't leave my home. It doesn't matter how successful i am. I'll always come back to you.

A smile formed on his face.

He pulled me down and pecked my lips gently.

We both smiled and chuckled after separating.

"I have a place i want to go. Can you take me there?" He sat up.

I tilted my head.

We got up and went back out of the place.

We got into my car. He put a location on the gps and showed me.

It was an orphanage.

"I used to go there to visit sometimes. I haven't gone in a while. I kinda miss the kids." He said.

I smiled.

How about we pick up some treats for them before going there?

He smiled. "That's a good idea."

We stopped at a candy shop and bought a bunch for the  kids.

He knows a lot about the preferences of the kids there.

"I wonder if there's been any new kids..." He mumbled.

Let's buy some extra. Just in case?

He nodded in agreement.

We bought the treats and got into my car.

I let Beam since it would be easier than me driving while looking at the gps.
