The girl in blue.
Who draws and creates,
What a placid person,
The way her color shines on everything,
Except herself.
The way her color shines on the world,
And that she sees everything,
More beautiful than herself.

The girl in blue,
Tainted with streams of red,
Running down her head and arms,
This pain.
This aching,
Succumbing to the beat.
Drowning herself in the music,
Watch as this color falls from her eyes.
For I know this girl.
This invisible color and hymn that
arises from her soul.
And she does not see it as beautiful,
Coating herself in creams and masks and blood. Hoping to become someone else.
Coming down from her high,
And euphoria,
With a newfound sense,
Something unfamiliar,
Her hand outstretched to the heavens,
White light pouring upon her facade,
But she cannot reach it.
So she indulges herself in temporary happiness.
The girl in blue.
Is so new.
She rues her life as red pours across her blue.
And soon the flame dies out,
Until black is let in.
Consuming her.
What happened to the girl in blue.
So creative and so sad.
Now so numb and so mysterious.
The girl in blue.
Joining the panic room.
For that is where she feels most at home.
Her fears and monsters tearing at her skin,
Voices telling her she isn't blue, but orange, Something unreal,
People telling her she isn't blue but green.
Envious and immature.
What is wrong!
People ask the girl in blue.
Barging into her panic room,
Heart thundering in her chest
as her monsters cling to her,
Screaming at her,
People yelling.
The girl in blue has disappeared,
Losing herself in the opinions of others,
Trying to impress them,
and appeal to them and
be seen as a human.
People tell the girl in blue she had a good life.
And she believed that.
The girl in blue,
Tainted with the sunsets of red and yellow,
faint traces of the blue that was once there.
Black pressing in as night falls.
Stars printing across her eyes,
What a beautiful soul.

This girl of the cosmos and
oceans and nightfall.
The one in blue.
The child of light and color and pain.
Hiding from herself.
Hiding from the world,
What to do,
How to distract.
The girl in blue.
