Chapter 24 - Laura Joins the Tour

Laura's plane landed and she turned back 

on her cell phone. As soon as she turned it on 

her phone was ringing with Tom's "you know 

you want to" look. She was thrilled he was 

waiting for her to get off the plane and couldn't

wait to see her. She was stuck in the back of the 

plane waiting for everyone to get off ahead of 

her. She never could figure out why some people 

take their sweet time getting their stuff and 

exiting the plane as if no one else were waiting. 

Finally, it was her turn and she grabbed her 

carry on and headed off the plane. As she came 

down the escalator, she saw a huge sign in the 

lobby stating "Lovely Laura" and she laughed. 

Holding the sign was Tom with both hands high 

over his head. Embarrassed but beside him was 

Trent looking around apologetically to the crowd 

as Tom was dancing almost with excitement. As 

soon as Tom saw Laura the sign was shoved to 

Trent and Tom ran to pick her up, hug and kiss 

her nonstop. Finally, Trent walked over and said,

"Dude, you're going to be together forever so calm 

down." Tom stopped and let Laura breathe. She was 

smiling but also glad that Trent called Tom off. Tom

said, "Right. Oh man, I missed you so much." He then 

hugged her long and hard again. Trent said, "Oh my 

GOD it's been what...a few days? Hey, the luggage is 

coming. Let's grab it and get out of here so you guys 

can be alone. I've seen enough." They grabbed Laura's 

luggage and headed to the car. Tom told Trent, "You're 

driving back." Trent said, "Of course." Tom sat in the

back with Laura and held her close.

When they arrived at the hotel Tom gave Laura their 

room key and told her I'll grab the luggage just go on 

up. Laura knew he meant go up and get ready for him. 

Trent rolled his eyes and said, "So I guess I'll see you 

sometime tomorrow. Don't let him stay up all night 

we have a show tomorrow, and I need him to be ready 

to rock" Laura looked back, smiled and said, "Yes Trent, 

I'll be sure to give him back to you with some energy 

left." Tom overheard and said, "I hope not." They all 

laughed at the absurdity of their conversation. Laura
