As the sun began to rise, my eyes never got the chance to rest. I knew that I would regret that choice, but it was something I was willing to sacrifice.

I looked at the clock, which read six thirty a.m.

I watched as the pale orange orb rise from beneath the horizon into the morning sky.

I inhaled, holding my breath, wishing that the trip could have been longer. Then so many other amazing things could have happened, but life never turns out as planned.

I grabbed my baggage, deciding that it would be fine for me to wear the clothes that I slept in.

After my luggage was ready waiting by the door, I briskly walked back up to my room that I had fallen in love with.

A light knock was placed on the door and in walked my aunt. She sat down next to me on the bed.

"I'm going to miss you dear. It was an extremely wonderful time having you and your father here for the week," She said placing her arm around my shoulder.

"Thank you. I enjoyed staying here as well. Hopefully sometime in the future we can both come back for another visit," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper.

"And I couldn't help but overhear your argument with Tom last night. Is everything alright between you two? I can sense when two kids are in love. You can tell by the way they look at each other. And he clearly is looking at you that way," She stated.

"Things aren't that great actually. I decided that it was best to cut him out of my life before things got even more ugly. I thought it was the way where I wouldn't get as hurt, but I'm pretty sure I was wrong," I said confused by my actions that I had preformed the night before.

"Well, just give it time. That's the best way to heal. We'd better get going, I'm sure that your father would like to get home," My aunt commanded standing up from the bed.

"Wait, you're coming with us?" I asked surprised.

"Yes dear, Toby and I thought that you would like it," My aunt reasoned walking out of the door.

I quickly followed after, and found my father and Toby waiting by the front door.

"Finally, you two decided to show up!" Toby exclaimed.

"Toby, don't be so rude. We were just talking through something," His mother said, pulling on an over coat.

"Yeah Toby. Maybe you should be a little nicer to your cousin," I replied sticking the tip of my tongue out of my mouth.

The boy rolled his eyes as we all walked out to the car.

Most of the car ride was silent, but somehow I preferred it that way.

This last week was exhausting and the silence seemed extremly calming, which is what I needed at the moment.

As we walked into the airport, I felt this sadness wash over me. I was leaving the only good thing in life behind.

"Toby, can I talk with you please?" I asked, grabbing the boy's arm.

"Oh yeah, is there something you need?" He replied with a question.

"I need you to give Tommy this letter whenever you see him next. Tell that I wish things could have ended better. And that I shouldn't have been so rude."

The boy nodded his head.

I wrapped my arms around my cousin, telling him how much I would miss him.

"You know its not like I'm going to forget you. You're very easy to remember," He whispered.

"Cam come on, the flight is leaving soon," My father called out.

I waved to my aunt and cousin, a stupid grin plastered across my face.

Although I was sad to leave them behind in England, I knew that I would never forget them.

They all made an impression on my heart, and I'm sure that this was not the last I would see of them.

The plane ride seemed considerably shorter than my last flight. Maybe this time I wasn't anticipating anything back at home.

As soon as we landed, I felt a rush of adrenaline wash over. While we drove home, I watched as the wind blew through the trees.

Finally, we reached our house.

As I walked through the door way, I muttered underneath my breathe, "Home sweet home."
