The Return (4x01)

Sookie P.O.V

The blinding light transported us to a wonderful balcony. The semi-circle was held up by thick columns & gave an impressive view of the surrounding mountains. A large tree with strange, shining yellow fruit hung on the branches. A crowd of people surrounded us. From the clothes, it was clear to see who were fairies like Claudine or "normal" people like me. I was nervous & felt extremely nauseous.

"I feel nauseous." I wheezed as Maria came to check on me

"It'll pass." Claudine assured me as we walked into the crowd

"Well done. As you were." She dismissed them

"Wait. Are you like the head of the fairies or something?" I asked

"Oh hardly. No, I'm your...I'm your godmother. you know it's a..." She explained

"I have a fairy godmother." I scoffed

"It's not all fun & parties. Some of us have to work." She snarkily replied

"Ok if your job is to look after me can I just say you suck. Do you know how many times I could have used a fairy godmother." I criticised

"Well, you're still alive aren't you. You're not exactly Ms. Trouble-free you know." She fired back

"Finally someone understands my frustrations." Maria agreed

"Come on. Let's enjoy the party." Claudine interjected as she grabbed our hands to show us around

"Sookie, Tes?" Barry called out as we passed each other

"Barry? The bell boy?" I doubled checked

"Yeah." He smiled

"How long have you been here?" Maria asked

"We just got here." He answered

"Jesus can you believe this place. Oh, this is my fairy godmother Lloyd." He praised, nearly forgetting to introduce his fairy-godmother. He got a muscly blonde sporting a necklace & a thin open shirt.

"Hi." He greeted us

"Look at everyone. Do you realise this is like the one place in the universe where we're not freaks?" Barry excitedly noticed

"Haha, well we're going to get a drink. Once you 3 are finished chatting, mingle." Claudine encouraged before leaving us alone, though that didn't last long

"Would you like a Lumiere? A light fruit." a redhead offered

It was a bowl of those strange glowing fruits. Me & Barry took one but it felt off to me. Maria didn't which offended the girl. But, she sent her running from one icy glare. I tried to talk to her with our minds but she was shutting me out. 

I began to be very suspicious of the fruit from her actions. I looked around at the others & saw them ravenously devouring it. I knew something was off & decided on not eating it.

"Barry hold on a sec." I muttered as I got a bad feeling about them

"Mmm-hmm. Whoa. This is like biting into pure happiness. You've got to try this Sookie & Tes." Barry encouraged between mouthfuls

"Yeah." I mumbled before noticing Grandad in the crowd

Instantly, I got memories of the last time I saw him which was a week after my 6th birthday. My heart was racing as I couldn't believe I had found him. My feet naturally forced me to walk over to him. Maria followed behind to watch me as she knew how important he was to the family.
