Tara was a mess. Her transition was just more trouble. She was understandably pissed at what we did. She hated us so much to run away despite getting sprayed with silver. I chased after her despite her giving me the runaround. Sook & Lafayette were in the distance hollering for her with flashlights.
I found her in a clearing but hid in the bushes. She needed space as she adjusted to the heightened senses. I kept my heartbeat slow & held my breath to avoid detection. She seemed to be staying put until Sook & Lafayette neared. I went after her as she ran towards the road. I was getting worried as a girl was stranded. With Tara starving, she was a juicy steak.
"T no." I hissed as I pulled her off
"Fuck you." She growled as I pinned her against the tree
"Let me help you. You know I can." I begged
"Go to hell." She growled before kicking me off
I landed against the car. I put a small dent & gave the girl some money. She was shaken up. I made her forget the whole incident before going after her again. Sook & Lafayette caught up and helped her.
I chased after her for hours but Tara was slick. With not much time to waste, I decided to ask Pam for help. As her maker, she could summon her. I really didn't want to force her to come to me but I didn't want her getting hurt either.
I went back for Sook & Lafayette to tell my plan. Sook & I drove to Fangtasia while Lafayette looked around. I pushed through the crowd at Fangtasia as I made a beeline to Pam. She was quickly texting on the stage.
"Pam." I said, getting ignored
"Pam. I need your help. It's an emergency!" I frustratedly repeated
"Excuse me so is this. My maker hasn't been home in 4 days. Not that you give a shit." She shushed me
"I've been calling him every day & get sent to voicemail. Kinda hard to tell if he's pissed at me or in danger. Tara's been a bit of a handful or else I'd be out there looking." I argued
"Bill's demon spawn thinks they're on some kind of business trip. But, we both know the only kind of business Eric has with King Bill involves almost getting themselves killed, protecting you 2." She glared
"I'm sorry about them being missing. But, we honestly don't know what danger they've gotten into. They don't tell us much." Sook explained
"If only." She huffed before stepping down. I blocked her path as she reached the floor.
"Look, the last thing I want to do is bother you. But, Tara ran away. She's too damn smart for her own good. We can't catch her. She's out there alone, sacred & hungry." I pleaded
"We had a deal. I upheld my end of it. You haven't done shit for me Tinkerbells so whatever you're asking..." She refused, trying to sneak off to the side
"Pam you're her maker. I just need you to summon her here & I'll take her back home. You'll never have to do it again." I desperately tried again
"I'm not interested in you or that pathetic vampire you had me make. Now get out of my bar before I suck you both dry." She growled before flashing her fangs
"Find Tara." I glared as my eyes began to change
"Fuck you. And fuck Tara." She hissed before shoving me into a table behind
The small fight got everyone's attention. Sook suddenly blasted Pam, sending her crashing into the throne & drapes. With no chance of help, we left & headed home. Hopefully, Lafayette found her by now.
