Sookie P.O.V
Tes was quiet the whole ride back home. I could tell that she was worried about Eric. It was sweet to see her care. But, I still couldn't believe she fell for him. They seemed like such opposites. Though, they did have their cute moments. She was snoring away & I checked on Bill.
"You know, this kind of reminds me of that bus ride back from all-state. Nothing looks exactly the way I left it. Know what I mean?" Jason asked
"I've never been away before. But, seems like something's different to me though." I replied
"Yeah." He mumbled as a siren blared. Tes was awake & looked nervous.
"What the hell?" I commented as I pointed at the defaced welcome sign
"Oh, look at this guy." Jason noticed. We turned to his window saw a guy slamming his head against a light post.
"It's like everyone's lost their minds." Tes said as people ran around crazed
Suddenly, the van stopped as two people slammed into the windshield. The driver exited first to check on them. Jason led us out as we went to join the driver.
"They just ran in front of me." He shakily yelled
"Are you all right?" I asked as they got up. But, I jumped back when I saw their blacked-out eyes.
"Hey, what the hell's wrong with your eyes?" Jas asked, moving in front of us
"Let's go." The guy said to the girl, ignoring us
"Wait! Where are you going?" Tes shouted as the skipped away
"We gotta find Sam." The lady shouted back
"It's almost time, man." The guy added
"What the fuck happened while we were gone?" Jason asked
"I don't know. But, I really want to get off the street. We can figure this all out at Bill's." She urged, shoving us back into the van
The driver was still shaken but eager to get out of town. He drove like hell to Bill's house. He helped us get out things out before peeling out. Luckily, Tes was super strong & easily carried Bill inside.
We double-checked that everything was closed. I tapped on his coffin when it was safe. Jason went to call the station to get some answers. Bill was up & consoling me. I told him everything we saw which shocked him too.
"And if somebody could call me back & tell me if we've been attacked by a terrorist or what?" Jason asked. But, he angrily hung up. "Fucking answering machine at the sheriff's."
"Bill, there's something seriously wrong in Bon Temps. I can feel it." I worried
"Well, if it ain't the vampire & his vampire lover." Hoyt's mom greeted
"There's those fucking eyes again." I noticed
"Mama, come here!" Hoyt yelled as he rushed downstairs
"Oh, thank God you're home. She's gone like totally batshit." Jessica sighed from the balcony
"What the devil..."Bill attempted to scold her
"I had nothing to do with it, I swear." She cut him off
"First, I thought it was a bad reaction to diet pills." Hoyt explained as he tried to corner his mom
"Get out of my way." She sneered
"But, then we saw practically the whole town's got these eyes." He continued, still trying to grab a hold of her
