V and Bom just sat together, V embracing Bom while Bom rested her head on his shoulder. Bom felt at peace and felt the happiest she had ever been for a while. So did V. Both of them had so many questions for each other since they never told each other much.
"So, your parents,"
Bom started, causing V to feel a bit upset after getting reminded of his parents.
"Why are you so mad at them?"
Bom continued, staring at V's flawless face. Gritting his teeth, V replied,
"They want me to inherit their company but I don't want to. I love art and fashion and I want to work in a career related to that. But, they forced me to go to this business university to learn a bunch of boring shit. I'm not doing anything I like."
Bom forced a smile as she held onto V's hand. V's heart fluttered a bit but he sat still. Her soft, warm and small hands held onto his which caused warmth to spread throughout his body. He felt comforted just by her touch. He smiled softly and closed his eyes.
"You're an adult, V. I think it's best if you discuss this with your parents which I know you might already have. But, discuss with them calmly, don't stir up an argument. Tell them your side,"
Bom advised, her soft and sweet voice soothing him. V, listening to her advice, realised he had never talked to his parents about this matter calmly. He took Bom's advice into consideration before saying,
"However, there has been something on my mind lately,"
He muttered, causing Bom to look up at him in curiosity.
"My dad told my mom something about choosing me to inherit the company and how we weren't even a family. I don't know if he said that out of anger but I'm an only child. Why did he say he chose me?"
Bom's heart sunk as she thought about V's date with Hyojoo at the restaurant. V's real name was Taehyung. If his father said they weren't even a family and that he chose V, could it have been that he was adopted? Bom looked at V's face who had his eyes closed.
Could V have been the boy she met and lived with when she was 5?
