You Are Perfect Just the Way You Are...

Summary: Donnie feels self conscious about himself but he soon learns that he's perfect just the way he is!

Donnie sighed as he looked at himself in the mirror. He saw an overly tall, awkward turtle who was pale, weak, had a gap tooth. He someone socially awkward and nerdy.

Donnie has always felt self conscious about himself but had never told anyone. He saw himself as different and didn't like it.

"Why can't I be less tall? I'm a whole head taller than my brothers...I'm just a giant freak..." Donnie frowned at himself with tears in his eyes.

"I'm too smart, everyone probably thinks I'm a geek...and my eyes are such a weird color, they're not normal..." He looked away from his reflection.

"My gap teeth are ugly and I'm so pale and weak...why can't I be stronger like Raph? Why do I have to be this way...?" Donnie was growing more and more upset with himself.

"Why can't I be more...cute and happy-go-lucky like Mikey? Or more brave like Leo?" Donnie muttered. "I'm so weird, awkward and ugly..." He started crying softly.

Little did he know, the turtles and Splinter had heard him and were listening as they frowned. They couldn't believe Donnie felt that way about himself.

Suddenly, Donnie felt his family hugging him. "Donnie, don't think like that, you're amazing..." Mikey whispered with tears in his eyes.

"Yeah bro, you may look a little different than us but you're so smart, kind and helpful." Raph added, hugging Donnie tightly.

"We love your teeth, eyes and height, they make you special and we love that about you." Leo said, rubbing Donnie's head lightly.

Splinter then hugged Donnie. It hurt him that his son thought that way of himself. Splinter knew what it was like to feel self conscious about appearances. He knew what Donnie needed.

"My son, you are intelligent, brave, strong, sweet and you have changed our lives more than you will ever know...you are perfect just the way you are..."

Donnie looked up at his father with teary eyes. "R-Really...?" He asked. Splinter nodded, hugging him tightly as the other turtles joined in.

"Really Donnie, you're perfect just the way you are, we love you so much...your appearance is unique and you shouldn't be ashamed of it..."

Donnie smiled a little, drying his tears. "Thanks anis, daddy, I love you too..." The other turtles and Splinter hugged him tightly.

Suddenly, Donnie felt someone else hugging him. April and Casey. "Donnie, you're amazing..." They said since they had heard everything.

"Please don't say those things about yourself..." Casey whispered. "We love you..." April had tears in her eyes. Donnie hugged them. "I won't, I promise...I love you both..."

They all surrounded Donnie, hugging him. "Your eyes are uniquely, your gap teeth are adorable and your skin isn't too pale..." Splinter said softly.

"You aren't weak, you're so strong..." Raph added. "And your brave enough..." Leo said. "And you're cute too, just like me!" Mikey grinned.

"You're not weird or awkward or ugly Donnie, you're you and who you are is perfect..." April and Casey said as Donnie cuddled against them.

"Thank you..." He grinned as his family hugged him. "We love you Donnie..." They hugged him. "I love you all too, so much..."

"I'm perfect just the way I am..."
