Izuku Yagi: The Green Ranger

Breakfast with the Olivers

Izuku approached Tommy's house in Reefside early one morning. He knocked on the door, and was greeted by Tommy.

"Hey Izuku, what brings you here so early?" asked Tommy.

"Well from my point of view it's still night time in Japan. But I just wanted to thank you for everything you and the other Rangers have done for me. Yesterday I finally got to kick Kacchan's ass in training" said Izuku.

"Well that's great. Why don't you come on in?" asked Tommy.

"Sure. But I can't stay long, I've got class tomorrow in Japan" said Izuku as he entered the house.

They sat at the kitchen table. "You boys want any pancakes?" asked Kimberly.

"Sure" said Izuku.

"That'd be great, hon" said Tommy.

Kimberly placed two plates on the table and put some pancakes on them.

Suddenly, a kid around the same age as Izuku entered the kitchen. He looked a bit like Tommy but also had a few of Kimberly's features. He had dark brown hair and brown eyes.

"Morning" said the kid.

"Morning James. What do you want on your pancakes?" asked Kimberly.

"I'll just have some syrup" said James.

James was about to sit at the table when he noticed Izuku sitting there.

"Who's this?" asked James pointing to Izuku.

"This is Izuku Yagi. He's the new Green Ranger we've been telling you about" said Tommy.

"Oh sick! I'm James! I'm the guy who's gonna be the new White Ranger!" said James.

"I know. Your parents have told me a lot about you, James" said Izuku as he got up and shook James's hand.

"Alright boys let's sit down and have breakfast. You've both gotta get to school soon" said Kimberly.

After that Izuku, James, Tommy, and Kimberly all sat at the table and ate breakfast.

Izuku felt at home. Eating breakfast with the Oliver's reminded him of what his life was like with his parents and sister before he was diagnosed quirkless. When his parents found out he was quirkless they stopped making food for him, so he had to learn how to cook food for himself. But the pancakes Kimberly made tasted amazing, they seemed to taste as good as the pancakes his Mom used to make for him.

He and James discussed certain heroes and rangers, and debated who would win in a fight with who. He and Izumi used to talk about stuff like that, they also talked about who they would win against once they got their quirks, but when Izuku was declared quirkless she would always say that he would lose against anyone, including her.

Tommy told Izuku stories about the adventures he, Kimberly, and the other Rangers went on together, much like when his Dad would tell him and Izumi stories about the adventures he and their Mom went on together.

Izuku was happy.  

After they were done eating Kimberly put the plates and silverware in the dishwasher. "Before you go home Izuku I wanna show you something real quick" said Tommy.

Tommy brought Izuku over to a table that had a little model of a T-Rex on it. He pulled on the lower jaw of the model, and suddenly a trap door opened up from the floor to reveal a hidden stairwell.

"Whoa" said Izuku.

"Whoa indeed" said Tommy.

They went down the stairs and entered a large room. It had computer monitors on the walls, vehicles, and other things.
