At risk of sounding stupid silly, but hoping any future readers will forgive it or simply ignore it, I was more excited for the idea of seeing Godwin in uniform than he himself for entering in the Galphin association.

Curiously, the same year he was inducted my mother was voted in again as the Gurú of the Scholars. The last year of my father's life she had preferred to be besides him, enjoying their time together.

After he passed away she went back to the hardest dungeons. Throughout all the years she had been a regular Scholar she had kept the WarriorQueen Title, even if not the Most Adventurous.

Losing him meant she took to exploring to numb out her heartache; not even half a year later she was once again at the top of the Adventurers Ranking, and the Second Position within the Scholars.

I had thought that Joe Borel would be the one voted as Guru, since he was ahead of my mother by around 9K good points. Imagine the surprise when she retook that mantle.

Me at the time, thinking of how wrecked I'd feel if I were to lose Godwin, pitied her instead. She had turned to exploring not for the position, but to avoid thinking about father.

She, I reflected grimly, would go back to the place I had grew up, Elyon was born and she shared several years of her life with father. She'd see him in every corner of the house all my siblings but Aaron grew up in.

Pitiable, indeed.
