"'Good' daw? What does he mean by that? Does he want me to stay single?" I ranted.

Gio, who was beside me and driving, let out a teasing laugh. Kanina niya pa ako inaasar simula nang magkuwento ako sa kaniya about the other day. I really didn't want to talk about Jaiden or anything related to him, but what he said really bothered me.

"Slow ka rin, eh, 'no?" natatawang asar ni Gio at bumaling sa'kin.

"How am I slow?" takang tanong ko, to which Gio laughed at again.

"Ganito kasi 'yan," panimula niya, with hand gestures pa. "Gusto ka niyang maging single, kasi..."

"Kasi?" I urged, creasing my forehead.

"Kasi mahal ka pa niya." Gio continued as he clicked his tongue and snapped his fingers right in front of my face.

"That's stupid! Hindi ba puwedeng concerned lang siya sa lovelife ko since he's technically my brother?" I suggested, even when I knew it was the most ridiculous idea.

"May rason ka na naman pala, bakit nagtatanong ka pa sa'kin? Ayos ka rin, eh." nakasimangot nang ani Gio.

Ngumuso na lang ako at nanatiling tahimik habang patuloy na nag-drive si Gio. We were on our way to a lot that Gio found for my clinic. Nakakahiya ngang siya na ang nag-asikaso ng pagpapatayo ng clinic ko when it's supposed to be my job. I owe him a lot.

After a few more minutes, we finally arrived at the land. There was a small parking space right in front of it kaya roon kami nag-park. As soon as Gio turned the engine off, I got off the car and went near the land.

"This looks great," puri ko, then I looked at Gio who just got off the vehicle. "Saan mo 'to nakita?"

"Kaibigan ko, in-offer lang sa'kin. Ganda, 'no?" he said as he stopped beside me. "Kukunin mo?"

"What do you think?" I asked him back. "Between you and me, you know lands and lots better. Sa'yo ko isasalalay ang desisyon ko." I giggled.

"I think it looks good. Tama lang din ang laki. And it's a good spot for a clinic. Beside the road, pero may space between." he said, gesturing to the cemented space we were standing on which was between the road and the actual land.

"So should I get it, Architect?" I asked him, crossing my arms, pretending that it was a formal conversation.

"I believe so, Doktora." maarteng sagot niya pabalik, tinaasan pa ako ng kilay kaya natawa ako.

We went and met his friend that's selling the land. Ilang proseso at papeles ang pinagdaanan namin before I got the lot. It actually took a day to finally claim the land to myself, but it wasn't that tiring.

["Magsisimula na raw sa floor plan si Gia. Kapag may na-approve ka na, the groundbreaking will start. Nakahanap na rin ako ng construction team,"] Gio told me over the phone. ["Keri ba?"]

"Keri," natatawang sagot ko pabalik. "Tell me when the next meeting is."

Ang sunod ko namang inasikaso ay ang clinic na pagtatrabahuhan ko habang tinatayo pa ang sarili kong clinic. I went to the hospital where Red works at to meet up with him.

"Si Doctor Sanchez po?" I politely asked the nurse na nasa front desk.

Agad niya namang tinuro sa'kin ang direksyon ni Red. I had to look around for a bit before I finally spotted him. Napangiti ako at naglakad papalapit sa kaniya.
