Chapter 18

You and Steve get to the gym. Steve then pushes you to the ground.

Y/n: "Owww, what was that for" (you get up the floor)
Steve: "You have to be ready when you least expect it. Got it?"
Y/n: "Got it."
Steve: "I want you to fight me."
Y/n: "Fight you?"
Steve: "Yes"
Y/n: "I'm not re..."
Steve: "You won't be ready if you don't just do what I say ok. Even if the guy is bigger and stronger then you you have to use what you have and they don't to your advantages."
Y/n: "What do I have that you don't?"
Steve: "Your shorter then me."
Y/n: "And what's that gonna do?"
Steve: "You can go under me and ditch my hits better"
Y/n: ....
Steve: "Ready?"
Y/n: "Mhm"

He tries to hit you and you dodge it and you get a few kicks on him. He then sweeps his leg and you fall on your back. You get back up and try to fight him again but you end up on the floor. You try again and again but you keep falling.

Y/n: "I can't do it!"
Steve: "Yes you can just believe in yourself. You have to concentrate on yourself. If you keep overwhelming yourself your not going to be able to do it. Take a deep breath and concentrate."
Y/n: "Ok" (you take a breath)
Steve: "You ready now."
Y/n: "I'm ready."

You get in your position he goes in for a punch but you block it and he tries to kick you but you dodge it like he said. You then punch him in the face and grab his arm and kick his back and he falls on the ground.

Steve: "See I knew you can do it."
Y/n: "I guess so" *smiles

Steve gets up and he teaches you some moves as well. Then you see someone come in.

Natasha: "Hey y/n"
Y/n: "Nat!?"
Natasha: "Yes"
Y/n: "Why are you here?"
Natasha: "I came to help you train."
Y/n: "Thank you"
Natasha: "No problem, let's start then."

You, Steve, and Natasha train for the following month together. Steve decided to take a run with a guy named Sam. You and Sam start to run but Steve seems to beat y'all every time and annoys Sam by saying "On your left" You then take a break and get some water while Sam sits on a tree and Steve is with him.

Sam: "So your y/n"
Y/n: "That's me."
Sam: "So this life must be really weird to you?"
Y/n: "It is but I'll get use to it eventually right?"
Sam: "I guess so."

You see a car pull up and see Nat as she rolls down the window.

Natasha: "Hey fellas either one of you know where the Smithsonian I'm here to pick up a fossil."
Steve: "That's hilarious, come on y/n we got to go."
Y/n: "Ok"

You get in the back of the car and put your seat belt on.

Sam: "How you doing."
Natasha: "Hey"
Steve: "Can't run everywhere"
Sam: "No you can't."
Y/n: "Bye Sam"
Sam: "Bye y/n"

The car takes off but you really don't know where your going

Y/n: "Umm..where are we going."
Steve: "On a mission"
Natasha: "Be ready"
Y/n: "I don't have a choice do I?" *Nat smirks
