THE ROOKIES' EYES ALL COLLECTIVELY LIT UP at the appearance of the Jedi Padawan, but Rex just had to ruin her moment of glory.
His gloved hand now covered in the eel's blue blood, he commanded, "The name's Rex. But, you will address me as Captain or sir. Understood?"
Immediately, their backs straightened at the figure of authority, "Sir. Yes, sir!"
"And, I'm Commander Cody — your new boss," Smirking at the men, Eisha rolled her eyes at their behaviour. They were completely enraptured at the sight of Cody and Rex. Though, their eyes soon fell back on her.
Staring awestruck, one of the clones eagerly asked, "Are you a Jedi?"
Grinning at his tone, she beamed, "I am. What's your name, trooper?"
He stepped forward slightly, "I'm CT-27-5555, miss."
Her nose scrunched at that.
'That's not a name.'
"We call him Fives. I'm Hevy, and this here is Echo," Gesturing to the third clone as he spoke, whilst the clone known as Echo nodded a silent greeting to the Commander and two Captains. Eisha grinned her hello, causing a faint smile to grace Echo's face.
"Where's your sergeant?"
"Dead, sir. We're all that's left," Echo stared down sorrowfully, before glancing up at the Commander.
Eisha stared wistfully at the three clones, she knew that feeling.
Far too well.
She had been abandoned, too. Although she knew not in the same way as these clones were — their sergeant wasn't a traitor.
