Chapter 36 // New Guy
I walked to the printer room, which was right by Mrs. Lopes’ classroom. The copies were still printing when I got inside. As I waited I sat down on the small couch inside the small room. I hope Luke isn’t mad that I changed our names. I didn’t want to go up against my two best friends. The printer beeped, interrupting my thoughts. I stood up from the couch and grabbed the papers. After being careful not to get a paper cut, I made my way back to the classroom. When I got inside, Mrs. Lopes’ told Luke and I that we can go home that she’ll divide the papers up by herself. I objected but she shook her head. “I have nothing else to do at home. It’s fine. You guys have a wonderful weekend.” We got out book bags and walked out of the building. We said nothing until we got into the car.
“Dani-“
“Let’s not talk about it.” I cut him off.
“Okay then.” As Luke started to drive, I made a group chat with Ashton, Calum, Luke, Michael, Vi, and I in it.

Me: Movie Night at my house tomorrow (:
After I sent it, Luke’s phone vibrated in the cup holder. “It’s me don’t worry.” He nodded in response right before both our phones went off.

Vi: Yay!! Can’t wait!!!1!!1!!
Mike: I’ll bring drinks (;
Me: No alcohol I have a little brother who will be upstairs.
Mike: No alcohol?! What kind of movie night is this!?
Ash: A normal one?
Mike: We have different definitions of movie night Ash.
Cal: I’ll bring some snacks.
Mike: Pretty please can I bring at least some beers?
Cal: It’s not a gathering without beer.
Mike: ^
Me: UGH fine
Me: SOME!!! JUST SOME!
Mike: YAY!!! Now it’s a party
Me: It’s not a party though!!! D;
Ash: Guys seriously just a little for the guys. The girls don’t drink.
Vi: EXCUSE ME? I so do drink!! Bring some for me Mike
Cal: Where’s Luke?
Me: He’s driving rn
“They’re asking for you.” I told Luke.
“Tell them I said hi.” He smiled.

I told what they said to Luke and Vi’s response made Luke laugh.
