[Where's... Sora?]

3rd Person Pov:

Screaming, ranting, shouting, and what not. That's what the whole race of Imanity was doing at the moment. Yes, they were screaming at their rulers, still more than just visibly upset at their decision to bet their race. "Down with the foolish rulers!" "How dare they play with our lives like this!" "They're working for the Eastern Union!" "I knew something was off all along!" "There's no way Imanitians could beat an Elf!" And so on, and so on... Really, it was annoying.

While they were screaming their hearts, even souls, out, the three ruler of the Imanitians, Sora, Shiro, and (Y/N), along with Jibril and Steph, were casually sitting in the throne room. Almost, at least. Steph was freaking out quietly to herself, while the siblings were playing on their console, with (Y/N) reading a book on the tablet. She's able to read Japanese quite fluently now. "It's almost charming to see how quickly all of them turned on you." noted Jibril, watching the furious crowd of Imanitians. Steph, still sulking, asked: "All of them are facing a death sentence. What'd you expect would happen?" She looked down to her chest, where the sign that their race piece was betted showed, saying: "To stay calm in a situation like this is a lot stranger. How do you plan to deal with the mob?" Her question was directed to the three throne holders. Shiro was the first to answer: "If they've got a problem, they can always try to become representatives in our stead." Sora added: "They're just a bunch of cowards who don't have the guts to challenge us. Forget them." (Y/N) nodded in approval, not looking up from the tablet once. Sora then sighed lightly, saying: "Anyway, they're really taking their time. It's already been a week." "Are you talking about the Eastern Union setting a date for the game?" asked Stephanie, watching the siblings play. "Of course it's going to take a while with a continent at stake." "I mean, yeah. That's why we're waiting for something better to come visit first." said (Y/N), turning the tablet off. She stretched, saying: "Sora, it's time." "Finally here, huh?"

(Y/N) Pov:

"Don't you think you're a little late?" asked Sora. I clearly felt the change in the atmosphere, and I knew what, rather, who it was. I felt this way too often for my own good, but, hey, I won't be complaining now. "Yeah, I know what you're here for. I'm ready when you are. Shiro, listen carefully. I believe in you." stated Sora, putting her on my lap. Shiro immediately said: "I believe in you, too, Nii." "Shiro, we'll always be two parts to one person. Shiro, we're bound by a promise. Shiro, we aren't the protagonists of some shounen manga. Shiro, we always win our games before we start playing." "Nii?" "I'm going to go get the last piece we'll need to conquer the Eastern Union." I smiled gently at him, knowing fully well what he was about to do. But in all honesty, this is the only way. He leaned closer, giving me a quick kiss, saying: "Damn, I'm gonna miss that for a while." I reached my arms out, pulling him into a longer, more passionate kiss. "Wow, definitely gotta do that more often." he declared, a slight smirk on his lips. I blushed a deep shade of red, saying: "Just go before I change my mind!" "Yes, yes~ Love you, (Y/N)." "L-Love you, too, Sora." With that, he started to move away from us. Shiro stood up, reaching after him, saying: "Nii? Nii! W-Wai-" but as she was supposed to touch him, her hand slipped right through, and he disappeared. "Now, let the games begin, shall we?" was all we heard him say before blacking out.

Time skip:

Shiro Pov:

I turned around in bed, keeping my eyes closed. As I reached both of my arms to my sides, I was only met with one person being there. I slowly sat up, looking down at (Y/N), who was still sleeping peacefully. "Nii?" I asked, not being able to see him anywhere.

"Shiro, (Y/N)! It's morni-" started Steph, but cut herself off as she saw the state we were in. Sitting in a corner of the bed, tightly hugging each other, while shaking furiously. "Wh-What's wrong, Shiro, (Y/N)?" I was crying, saying: "Nii... Nii, come out... Don't leave me all alone." While it did help that (Y/N) was constantly comforting me, I still felt the need for Nii's presence. "Wh-Who're you talking about? Do you want me to bring him here?" asked Steph, making my eyes widen. An idea popped into my head, so I jumped out of (Y/N)'s arms and opened the contact app on my phone. The screen showed a clear 0, which made no sense at all. "No way... No way." I said, remembering partly what had happened. "Shiro? Hey, Shiro, what's wrong?" asked (Y/N), but I only looked up at her, seeing ehr worried expression. "(Y/N)... Where's Nii...? Where's... Sora?" I asked her. She kept her eyes on mine, answering: "Shiro, I... I don't know who..." but she couldn't bring herself to finish that sentence. Instead, Steph asked: "That's someone's name, isn't it? Who is it?" My eyes widened even more.

(Y/N) Pov:

"The Blank... The Blank would... The Blank would..." muttered Shiro, her eye wide open. I was about to say something, as she suddenly started screaming. Steph immediately rushed towards us, saying: "You must've had a nightmare. I'll bring you some warm milk." "No! That's not it! He was here. We've always been together. So...!" called Shiro, almost crying once more. It kind of broke me to see her like this. And I can tell that this isn't something a mere nightmare would do to her. Then, I heard a faint voice. Nearly unnoticeable, but clearly there, calling out my name.

"(Y/N)."

I gasped lightly, remembering that voice so well, but not being able to remember the face of that person. Shiro ran off, while I stayed on the bed, trying my best to concentrate on that voice. After a short while, I couldn't hear it anymore, so I decided to run after Shiro.

Once I reached her, she asked Jibril questions. "Who is your master?" "Why would you ask now of all times?" "Answer me!" Jibril hesitated, slowly answering: "You and (Y/N) are, Shiro-sama." I decided to stay quiet and just observe, because there really is something weird going on. "Then who was it that played a game against you?" "It was you and (Y/N), Shiro-sama." "And who was it that told Steph to fall in love with them?" "I've heard that was (Y/N), Shiro-sama." "Who revealed how the Eastern Union's game works?" "(Y/N) found out using the clues Dola-chan's grandfather left behind, Shiro-sama." "(Y/N), who's the person you fell in love with?" At that question, I couldn't help but to stare at her. Love? Me? Can I even fall in love? I was about to say that I've never been in love, as I heard that voice again.

"So, my demand is that you will become my girlfriend."

That... That's actually quite stupid. How in the world would I fall for someone as bold and stupid as him? Then again, he's super cute at times, and I can't say that he's no fun to have around. All in all, I really do love- Hm? Who? Who is it that I love...? I looked over at Shiro in concern, now getting that a LOT of things are wrong here. Jibril smiled at her, saying: "And being charmed by your exceptional intelligence and resourcefulness, and because (Y/N) is a (L/N), I became your servant." "What about..." trailed Shiro off. Jibril continued: "I obey the two rulers of Elkia- the representatives of Imanity, you and (Y/N)." Shiro turned to look at her, that confusion still in her eyes as she asked: "Then... Why is (Y/N) crying?" I blinked twice, bringing a hand to my face, noticing that I, in fact, was crying. "Sh-Shiro... What's going on...?" I asked, a bit afraid, yet confused at all of this.
