My plan was to update sooner, but I couldn't bring myself to write something good...

When I write, I want it to be good rather than quick, so I apologize to everyone if I take too long to update...

Anyways,

Enjoy!

[First steps]

(Y/N) Pov:

"What we seek is not blood! Instead we seek what any and all do... We only want peace!" said Sora. Shiro said: "All forces, assist the red queen and her soldiers. Surround the enemy, and let no one die!" I smirked at Clammy. She didn't foresee this kind of technique. "You filthy traitors." was all she could say. Steph leaned a bit on the railing as she said: "The red pieces are providing cover." "Yep. It'd be hard for them to attack their former comrades-in-arms, after all." I explained. Another look at Clammy showed, that she was thinking about which race was backing us. Heh, if she knew that we're all just imanity... "Say, mad king..." I started. "Did you know?" "Real wars can end even before one of the kings is taken out." continued Sora. "This game is as good as over. Surrender." we said at the same time in a rather dark voice. "(N/N)! Sora!" said Steph. Right after that, Clammy started laughing. Like, weirdly laughing. She then asked: "Surrender, you say? I won't let you have this country. Our country... belongs to us! All forces, behead the enemy king even if it kills you! Cut down the traitors. Advance!" Ah, there goes her mind. Her troops started to move forward. She's falling right into it. Shiro said: "Nii, this is what happens when you back a weakened enemy too far into a corner." "Yeah. I know. That's why we did it." I said: "Dictators oppressing their people and ruling through fear alone..." "It's strange, really. Throughout history, such rulers always met the same end, almost as if it's a natural law. They're assassinated by someone close, someone outside the military." Clammy fell down as I thought about Soras words. If what he said is true, which I know that it is, then that could mean... My eyes slightly widened. No... Not now. Think about that later, will ya? It doesn't matter right now. I looked back at the game to see Clammys king shattered. Just as we planned. I shook my head a last time, pushing all thoughts to the side. "Th-The victory goes to the Blank!" Sora and Shiro high fived while I just hugged the both of them, not saying a word. Sora patted my head and said: "It was a good choice to recruit you, (N/N)." Shiro nodded in approval. I then got down to Steph, who was sitting on the ground, and said: "This'll do, right? This was what your grandfather always believed in, wasn't it? I'm certain that he won't be called the fool king anymore." She teared up as she hugged me, saying: "Yes! Thank you so much! Sora, Shiro, (N/N)!" I hugged back, a small smile on my lips. So this is it? This is the feeling of finally having real friends? "What kind of trick did you pull?" asked someone, making me stand up again. I turned around to see Clammy. "Trick?" asked Sora. "You're not seriously going to tell me Imanitians beat Elvish magic on their own, are you?" "I sure am 'cause that's what happened." "Is there a problem?" asked Shiro. Sora said: "You know, I didn't actually think having the Elves lend Imanity a hand was such a bad idea." "Then-" I cut Clammy off: "The way you think pisses me off." She was shocked by my words. I continued: "Isn't it a bit pathetic to say we can't survive without the Elves' help?" "But-" "Imanity has its own way of doing things." Sora continued: "For example, we were able to win because you convinced yourself that we must be foreign spies." "That... can't be right. A mere human couldn't possibly win against a magic user!" said Clammy. I said: "You're free to think what you will. That simply means that you can't." "Let me just say," said Sora. "Whether it's against Elves or gods," I continued. "The Blank will not know defeat." Sora then pulled Clammys veil from her head and made her look up at him, saying: "Don't you dare look down on humans." She then fell to her knees, crying like a child. Sora was clearly surprised by her actions. "Wha...?!" "Do you even know... Wh-What I had to go through... To get the Elves to work with me?" cried Clammy as Sora said: "Okay, l-look here..." "I wasn't looking down on anyone! I was serious about this! I was serious!" Shiro patter her head, saying: "Nii, you made a girl cry." "I'm the bad guy now?" "I didn't look down on anyone! I refuse to accept this!" "You don't even have a girlfriend. You're a virging too."

Time skip: about an hour later

(Y/N) Pov:

"As of now, the one standing before you, (Y/N), is the sole player left in the tournament for the crown. Thus, I ask are there no further challengers?" No one answered and he continued: "Well then, in accordance with the late king's will, we will crown (Y/N) as the queen of Elkia!" The crowd cheered as I was given the crown. I smiled sheepishly and said: "As of today, I am the queen, the one guiding this land and its people into victory!" They cheered even more while I turned around to see Sora and Shiro smiling a little. I got red, asking: "W-What?" "Nothing at all." smiled Sora.

Another time skip: three days later

3rd Person Pov:

(Y/N) sat next to Sora, who sat next to Shiro. She watched the two playing on their console, asking: "How does it work?" Sora answered: "You have to press buttons to make your character do things. Wanna try?" (Y/N) nodded and Sora gave her the small, portable console. She played a little, asking: "Like this?" "Exactly. You're good." "'course I am. It's a game, right?" Sora chuckled before he answered: "It is." Stephanie walked inside the room they were in and said: "(N/N), it's time for you to get to work. We haven't had a king in power for so long, our adminisstration's a complete mess." She pulled a bunch of papers with her. (Y/N) answered: "You take care of that, Steph. Oh, the final boss, right?" "Yeah, that's him." "That won't do!" said Steph, taking the console out of (Y/N)s grasp. She said: "Sorry to tell you, but recently there've been rumors about ministers colluding with foreign nations to take advantage of Elkias decline. They might try to use you to-" "And that's all?" asked (Y/N) while she yawned. "If it's only like that..." She then had all of the ministers gather in the throne room. She sat on the throne, Sora and Shiro to her side. "We'll now swear by the Convenants to play rock-paper-scissors, with you guys deliberately losing. I'll use scissors, and you'll use paper. After you've lost, you won't be allowed to fake reports or deliver arbitrary messages. Simple, right? Here we go then. Asciente!" "Asciente!"
