Just a quick a/n!

I've finally decided where to put an oc in this story. I've planned this since chapter two or so, and I finally figured out where to introduce him!

His name is Jun

And I imagined him to look like this:

But don't worry, it won't change much of the story!! He's just here for a bit of character development and backstory :)

And he won't be coming up too much just yet.

Oh, and I'm writing this chapter a bit different since this is how I'm editing the older ones.

What do you think of it? Does it even look good? Is it better to read this way?

Okay, now, enjoy the new chapter!

3rd Person Pov

"Fi's my childhood friend. Though calling her my master is more accurate." stated Clammy, her eyes closed. The other at the table let out curious hums, with Jibril saying: "Although Elvengarde is a democratic nation, they advocate controlling lower-ranked races via the Covenants."

She thought for a second, then added: "Truth be told, slavery is common there." "Which means Clammy is..." trailed Stephanie off, looking over at the quiet Imanitian. Clammy nodded, simply answering: "Yes."

(Y/N) leaned her head onto the table, listening intently. "My family has served the Nirvalens since my great-grandfather's days. I was born and raised in Elvengarde. The Nirvalens are an esteemed family in Elvengarde, and have produced senators for generations." explained Clammy.

She then smiled weakly at her elven friend, continuing: "Despite that, Fi treated me differently than the other Elves did. She treated me like a friend. It goes without saying that we couldn't act like that in public, though."

Fiel let out a small huff, saying: "I really hate having to hide it like that." Clammy, paying no mind to her statement, said: "And after the previous head of the family passed away last year, Fi has become the family's new leader. So our relationship has gotten even more complicated in the eyes of society."

Stephanie quickly asked: "Wait, so Fiel-san, you're an acting senator right now? For a senator to plot to abolish slavery... Wouldn't that be treason against the state?! It is shocking, isn't it?!" The others gasped.

But before anyone could say anything, (Y/N) did. She lifted her head off the table, saying: "It's almost impossible. I tried that before." At that, all eyes were on her. She let out a sigh, looking over at Clammy and Fiel. "I think you know someone by the name of Jun, right?"

"You don't mean... THAT Jun? The slave that got his freedom back?" asked Clammy, her voice holding pure surprise and confusion. (Y/N) nodded, saying: "Yeah, that one." "Wait a sec. Who's Jun?" asked Sora, eyeing his girlfriend. She let out a sigh, closing her eyes for a few seconds.

"It's a long story, so I'll try to keep this short. During my countless travels, when I was around twelve, I ended up in Elvengarde. Some higher ranking Elve thought I was a slave so they brought me inside. There, I met Jun." she started, smiling slightly at the memories.

She quickly continued her storytelling: "Anyways, I ended up staying in Elvengarde for almost three years because I befriended him there. During that time, we tried a variety of ways to free him of his slave title, but nothing worked. Even challenging his masters to a game wouldn't work. They just refused. Grumpy old hags..."

"Why did you leave him, then?" asked Clammy, narrowing her eyes at the (h/c) haired girl. (Y/N) let out another sigh, answering: "Why I left? That bastard betrayed me." She lightly shook her head, continuing: "I mean, he did free himself from slavery in the end, but the way he did is just disgusting."

Fiel and Clammy exchanged a quick, unsure glance, before Fiel asked: "If I may ask, how did Jun do that?" "Oh, simple. He challenged Tet to a game that would end in a draw, resulting in him getting his freedom back." answered (Y/N), looking over at the girl with a hint of hatred in her eyes.

"I can't quite follow you, master. How exactly did that Jun boy challenge the one true god?" asked the Flügel, her eyes sparkling at the information she was given just now. "He somehow figured out that Tet's, for some reason, quite fond of me. So, he challenged me to a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors and told me to lose. If he would win, Tet was to appear. And, well, I trusted him." she answered.

Tightening her hands into fists, she slammed them on the table, saying: "That son of a- The next time I see him, I'll make sure he regrets messing with me." Steph tilted her head, asking: "Why do you hate him so much? Wasn't him being free what you had wanted?"

"It was. But he offered Tet MY life. My innocent life in exchange for his freedom." claimed (Y/N). "He did what?!" asked Sora, his eyes glued to the girl that sat next to him. "Is that even possible?!"

"I don't think it's possible to bet someone else's life, so why did the one true god accept his challenge?" wondered Fiel out loud, putting a hand to her chin in thought. "Like hell I know. But Tet's a nice god. He spared my life, telling me to play as much as possible. And that's what I've been doing ever since." noted (Y/N), shrugging her shoulders.

"Tell you what, right after we win the animal girl kingdom over, I'll beat that Jun with my own two hands. How does that sound, hon?" asked Sora, an overly sweet tone in his voice. (Y/N) grinned, answering: "I'd want nothing more than that, dear."

The two of them chuckled at the nicknames, with Clammy finally snapping out of her little daze. She said: "Forget about that! We're up against the Eastern Union right now! After their current leader, the Shrine Priestess, appeared, they've grown to be the world's third largest country in a mere half-century."

They quickly got back to topic, with Sora putting an arm over (Y/N)'s shoulders, pulling her closer to himself as he listened to what Clammy had to say. "There's no telling what they're capable of. Nobody knows the truth about them. Not to mention, they have a special ability known as Blood Break."
