[Betting it all]
(Y/N) Pov:
"With that figured out, nothing else matters." stated Sora, picking up two fruits from the table. "As to why they stopped... There are only two possibilities." I took one of the fruits from him and said: "First. They realized they had no chance to win, after all." I passed the fruit to Shiro, who said: "But pointing out that the game's fixed would've gotten them the win." She passed it back to Sora. "Second. They figured out the game, but couldn't understand how they lost." He passed the fruit to me, and I said: "Just like that, they simply quit." "But..." said Shiro. I passed the fruit to her and she took a bite, saying: "What is this? That doesn't make sense! You figured out what the game is, but don't know why you lost?" in a more motivated voice than usually. Sora started dancing a little, saying: "Okay, things are starting to get exciting! Question three. What game can only be hosted by the technologically advanced Eastern Union, and guarantees them to win against every one of the various races? The answer is..." Shiro answered: "A video game that lets you cheat as much as you want." "A video game? What's that?" asked Steph. Sora asked: "You don't know, do you? Jibril has challenged the Eastern Union in the past." I smirked a bit, asking: "Then why have you never seen that thing at the entrance before?" "H-Huh? That's..." she said, deep in thoughts. "You forgot about it. Because its memory is related to the game you played." I said, putting my arms behind my back. Sora said: "Well, even if you forget about that... if a Flügel like Jibril never heard a thing about video games, the Eastern Union must be the only nation that plays then, right? That's why you erase memories and keep them secret." I nodded, saying: "We're talking about a video game in which you're the game master, after all. You can do whatever you want in it." Shiro added: "Leaving your opponents no way to reveal your cheating." "If you've never heard of cyberspace, your Magic won't help you." stated Sora. I pointed my index finger at Ino, while my other hand found its way onto my hip, saying: "All those rumors about that sixth sense and reading minds or whatever are just bluffs to keep people from thinking how you've won, right?" "That's right." said Sora. We both said: "You guys can tell if someone's lying, but you can't read minds." The tension grew, until Sora said: "On to the last question! How did we figure all this out?" "You get to answer this one, Gramps." I said, still smirking. Sora threw the fruit to Ino, who caught it. He was deep in thoughts, probably, no, surely thinking about the previous king. "That's right. The point lies elsewhere." said Sora, guessing correctly what that old geezer was thinking. I continued: "The simple fact that the previous king was able tot ell someone proves that you could never read his mind. Otherwise, you would've noticed that he found a loophole to the pledge he made." The three of us walked around a bit, with Sora saying: "Now then, we've figured out every single one of your game's secrets. Just imagine us handing that information to the Elves. Soon, you'd find yourselves forced into accepting a challenge fro them," "and lose for sure." I finished. We sat down in between Jibril and Steph, our eyes still fixed on the Werebeasts'. "You can't let us get away with our memories intact. But accepting this game which would have you betting territory for Steph's panties would give away that all those things we 'imagined' were right on the money." explained Sora. He put an arm around me as I said: "In that case, your only option is to once again claim we're being delusional, decline our challenge, and flee, right?" Yeah, that's what he was thinking. My smirk only grew as the three of us together said: "Did you think we'd let you?"
3rd Person Pov:
With a hand raised, Sora announced: "I'm upping the ante. I'm betting all of Immanity-" With that, a light whine was present on the four Imanitians' chests. Sora slammed the Race Piece down, with (Y/N) finishing his previous sentence: "our Race Piece itself."
Every Imanitian gasped as they noticed the light on their bodies. They were worried, to say the least. Even Clammy noticed it, with Fiel worrying for her. "Fi, throughout Disboard's history, has anyone ever bet a Race Piece?" she asked her Elven friend. Fiel immediately answered: "O-Of course nobody has! If you wager your Race Piece and lose, your rights as a member of the Exceed will be voided. Meaning-" Clammy cut her off: "The Ten Covenants won't apply to you anymore. That'd put you on the same level as livestock. It's the same as being sentenced to die." Her eyes were wide as she hit the tree next to her, saying: "Those idiots..."
"Are you out of your minds?" asked Steph, still not believing what she was witnessing right then and there. While she was freaking out, Sora calmly stated: "All of Imanity's territory and people have just been thrown into the pot." (Y/N) continued: "Running away now means the whole world would know that we've been right about everything we mentioned." "Did you see that one coming, Mr. Self-Proclaimed Esper?" With that, the three members of Blank said: "Checkmate." Steph looked at her friends in awe, yet terror. 'How can someone be as calm as this while betting their ENTIRE RACE?!' she thought, studying the calm expressions of the three. Ino asked: "Are you really sure about this? Even if your assumptions were correct, you should remember Elvengarde still lost. To wager your Race Piece makes me wonder whether you wish for Imanity to go extinct." That statement made Stephanie's eyes widen even more. 'No, surely they-' Her thoughts got cut off by none other than Sora: "Remember how we communicated with each other when I was at the library earlier? Had you given in to your curiosity then, you might've been able to figure out that Shiro and I have come here from another world." His eyes were piercing through Ino's very soul. That look in Sora's eyes caused (Y/N) to remember something.(Y/N) decided to add to the pressure by having her (e/c) eyes piercing even further than his soul. Sora said: "When it comes to video games, you can use all the cheats and bots you want." "Because the Blank is still going to win." stated Shiro, also keeping her eyes on the old Werebeast. "When we came to the embassy..." "...did you think more easy prey was walking up to your doorstep?" finished Shiro the question that Sora begun. With nothing more than pure provocation in her voice, (Y/N) announced: "It's your turn to be the hunted, Werebeasts."
