❖ ❖ ❖

It was a humid winter day, the warm breeze flying freely through Makki's apartment as he laid laxity sprawled across his couch, scrolling through his phone and messaging his friends.

Sadly, this was normal for him, wake up, eat, phone, do some random stuff, eat, more random stuff, eat, sleep. Then do it all again. Though it may seem boring, the pink-haired male wouldn't have it any other way.

Taking his eyes off his phone for a second, Makki looked around the room, his eyes heavy from being on a screen for so long.

"Ugh, I should probably get up" he groaned, going against what he said and flopping over the couch.

The birds tweeted outside in the autumn sun as the clock ticked on the wall, it was a peaceful day, one of the days the pink-haired male took for granted.

Getting sick of the humidity, Makki finally got up, groaning as he felt his bones click under the sudden wight. Walking into the kitchen, a sudden wave of hunger fell on him as he glanced at the clock that was showing 1:00.

With thoughts of food on his mind, he quickly made his way over to the fridge, already knowing what he was going to make. With a crease in his bow, Makki scanned the fridge, looking for the turkey, cheddar, bacon and mayonnaise, in an attempt to make himself the ultimate sandwich.

After a few minutes of mindlessly standing with an open fridge door, Makki finally found his desired ingredients, along with some white bread that was sitting on the benchtop.

After preparing his turkey, cutting it up into bite-sized pieces while sneaking a few pieces every now and then, he finally readied a chopping board in preparation for his sandwich making.

Opening the mayonnaise bottle with a small pop and quirted it onto the fresh bread. Before putting on his lettuce, he couldn't help but notice the strange symbol he had quirted.

It was some sort of lightning looking thing but more squiggly. He couldn't help but light-heartedly laugh.

"Heh, looks like some sort of demonic symbol"

"Yep, pretty much" a voice came from behind him as if sitting on his shoulder.

Looking to over his right shoulder, his eyes slightly widened as he caught what had made the noise.

It was some sort of half-human. He had black curly hair seemed naturally messy as his face wore a relaxed expression as if this was a normal thing.

The one thing that made him not entirely human was the black scaly wings and midnight horns he supported, making him look like some sort of demon... was he?

"Oh hey, when did you get here?" Makki asked as if this happened to him daily.

"Just now, you made my symbol, my name's Mattsun"

"Oh, I'm Makki"

With no other words spoken between the two, Makki went back to preparing his sandwich, placing the turkey and lettuce on top of the mayonnaise with the cheddar before slapping another slice of bread on top, making it a perfect sandwich.

"Here," the pink-haired male said as he handed the food over to the devil.

"Thanks, see you later," the devil said as he dispersed into thin air, leaving only the faint smell of smoke in the air.
