Chapter 18

HERA'S POV

"He's Terrence Ricohermoso, he's my former Filipino Teacher," I answered while looking into his eyes.

"Wow! Proud siguro sa 'yo Teacher mo, Doc," Dr. David said.

"She's my former co-Teacher," he said.

"Naging Teacher ka pala, Dra. Fuentes?!" The Nurse was surprised and I nodded. "Wow! Anong subject?"

"Filipino," he answered.

"Ang dami mo atang tinatago, Dra. Fuentes," they left a soft laugh.

"Sinong may number ni Attorney? Paaminin si Dra. Fuentes,"

"Dra. Fuentes!" Dr. Enrique called and stopped beside Terrence.

"Doc," I greet and he nodded.

"Let's go," he said and lead the way.

I turn around and I was about to walk but he spoke.

"I'm proud of you, see you around." He said and I close my eyes; trying to stop my tears from falling.

I took a deep breath and open my eye, I turned around but he wasn't there maybe he goes to his wife?

I smiled and followed Dr. Enrique.

"Kanina ka pa tulala," Dr. Enrique's voice. "Is there something bothering you? Tell me."

I shook my head.

"There is. Tell me, nakikinig ako."

"Nagkapag-wish ka na ba rati?" I asked. "What's with the pretzel knot on your forehead?"

"P-Pretzel what?"

"Nevermind," I sighed.

I started to eat and Dr. Enrique spoke, answered my question earlier.

"Yes, nagka-wish na ako noon at natupad na ito ngayon," he gave me a wide smile. "Gusto mong malaman kung ano 'yon?" I nodded. "Ang maging Doctor, bata pa lang ako gustong-gusto kong maging Doctor tuwing pinagwi-wish ako ng magulang ko pangalawa 'to sa hinihiling ko."

Likewise, Doc.

"So, you didn't regret it?" I asked and he smiled.

"I did not." He answered. "How about you, what's your wish?" He asked.

"Marami," we chuckled. "However, I didn't regret it because it's for the best."

"Are you sure?" He raised a brow.

I froze.

"I guess... You regret one of your wishes," he said. "It's okay, I have other wish too and I regret it." He force to smile.

"Is it normal?"

"It is, Dra. Fuentes."

"HOW ARE YOU, MA'AM?" Dr. Enrique asked Stella when we entered her room.

"Okay lang po, Doc," Stella answered after drinking her medicines.

"E 'di umuwi ka na," Dr. Enrique whispered.

I glanced at Nurse Laxandria and our eyes met, and left a soft laugh.

"Vital signs?" He asked.

"Stable, Doc." I answered.

"Balik na lang po kami mamaya, Ma'am," Dr. Enrique said and started to walk.

Nakalabas na kami ng room ni Stella at nagkita kong pumasok doon si Terrence kasama si Tristoff at 'yong isang lalakeng naka-formal attire.
