Reception antics

Tori

We walked into the reception hall and found our seats. My family sat with Matt and Nora along with Gia. Guests entered, locating their tables. After everyone arrived, the wedding party entered as the DJ announced them.

We clapped until I noticed the maid of honor feeling up Elias. Oh, hell no.

"Uh, Tori," Deacon said.

"What?" I snapped.

"Steam is coming out of your ears."

Everyone at the table looked at me.

"I'm fine," I replied through gritted teeth.

"I doubt you're fine with a girl feeling up our brother," Nate added.

I thinned my lips, pressing them together. Mom arched an eyebrow as I took a deep breath. I must refrain from beating a hoe's ass.

After the bridal party sat down at the head table, someone tapped on my shoulder. I glanced at Elias, who looked at me. He pulled a chair over to the table and sat down.

"How's your date?" I asked.

"My date looks pissed," Elias answered, giving me a knowing look.

I pushed my lips out as I crossed my arms.

"I asked Owen if I could dance with you during the wedding party dance. I don't need my girl in the clink."

I blew air past my lips as I lowered my arms. Elias wouldn't cheat on me, but I don't trust the girl. He leaned over and kissed me before walking back to the head table. I need to remember stripes look hideous on me, and so does orange.

I sat down next to Owen. He leaned over and whispered, "Did you calm down Tori?"

"Yeah, but Harriet needs to stay away from me. Tori won't take her shit," I advised Owen.

I gave him a look as he sighed. Tori isn't like most girls. She won't hesitate to beat the hell out of someone.

After everyone sat in their seats, we gave our speeches. Then the hall served dinner to everyone. At the wedding, I hadn't eaten. I scarfed my food, cleaning my plate. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't ideal either.

The DJ announced the dancing. When he called the best man and maid of honor to the dance floor, I made a beeline for Tori. My actions pissed off Harriet, but I didn't care. I'm not dancing with a groper.

I led Tori onto the dance floor and held her in my arms. As Tori and I moved around the dance floor, I imagined dancing with her at our wedding. I twirled her as we danced.

The rest of the bridal party joined us on the dance floor. Harriet tried to cut in.

"Excuse me. The maid of honor and beat man should dance with each other," Harriet told Tori.

"Well, you don't have honor. Plus, I'm dancing with my guy," Tori told Harriet.

"I have more honor than you," Harriet spat.

"I beg to differ because you don't grope a taken man unless you're a hoe."

A frown formed on Harriet's face as she crossed her arms. Tori stood her ground. That's my girl.

"Who are you calling hoe?" Harriet snapped.

"Well, if it looks like a hoe and acts like a hoe, it belongs in a shed," Tori retorted with a smirk.

Damn. My girl is savage. I love her more and more.

"You spiteful bitch!" Harriet screamed.

"Whoa! Hold on a damn minute!" I snapped.
