Every morning starts the same. I wake up at 6:00am, get my running clothes on, and meet Steve outside at 6:15. Every morning we meet up go for a 45 minute run, it's one of the only ways to relax here.

"Hey Steve!" I say as I wave at him.

"Good morning Morgan!" he says back as excitedly as always.

I think our morning runs are just as good for him as they are for me. It's not easy finding out you've been asleep for nearly 70 years, even if it has been a few years sense he woke up.

Steve is one of my closest friends here. He is always there when I need to just vent about something and is always so understanding. He knows it's been hard for me around here.

"Is Sam joining us today?" I ask. Sometimes Sam will run with us too but not everyday.

"No I think it's just us," he responded.

"Alright. Who's playlist are we gonna listen to today?" He always says he doesn't mind what we listen to but I know he enjoys is 40's music.

"Surprise me," he said giving me what I think was a small smile. It is too dark out to tell.

I turn on Steve's playlist and we start running to Put Your Dreams Away by Frank Sinatra.

Sometimes we talk a little bit when we take a short walk break but today he was oddly quiet.

When we started walking, I thought this would be my chance to find out what's bothering him, "So what's up, how was your night last night?"

"Alright, not too exciting."

"Any new missions coming up?" His head fell a little bit at this question.

"Yea, the whole team has one today actually."

"Do you know how long?" I ask.

"No." He said sadly.

I turn so I can see his whole face now that it's a little lighter outside. "Is everything okay Steve?"

"Yea everything is fine let's just finish our run." He says with a sad smile.

I thought I better not push it so we ran home listening to You Make Me Feel so Young by Rosemary Clooney.
