Me and Steve got back a little earlier than we usually do, probably because there wasn't much talking.

When we got back people were just starting to wake up. Showers running, dishes clanking together, the stove sizzling with what smells like bacon on it.

I run downstairs to shower and get ready for the day. While looking at my files and things I need to do, Fury paged me. He usually doesn't page me unless there is an emergency down in the clinic but I don't think anyone arrived last night from a mission.

I slammed the door behind me accidentally and ran upstairs throwing on a sweater, in a bit of a hurry. I was so nervous I could feel my palms sweating already.

I figured something had to be wrong if he was paging me this early.

When I open the door the whole team was already in there.

"Sorry I am late, thank you so much for waiting for me," I say as I take a seat next to Nat.

Fury didn't waste any time before telling us what was going on, "Thank you all for coming here this early. As all of you guys should know, today is mission day."

As he is breaking down what's going on I can't help but notice my brother isn't here. He is always here for meetings and rarely stays home for missions. Could that've been what Steve was upset about this morning?

"Morgan!" Fury raises his voice at me.

"I'm so sorry, can you repeat that for me? I'm sorry." I say embarrassed

He sighs before he repeats himself, "We need you on standby at the clinic, just in case things go south."

"Yes sir," I say quickly, trying to get out of here as fast as possible to find Tony.

"Dismissed." Fury says. But before me and Steve could walk out the door he pulls us aside, "I know this is a lot to ask but I think it would be best if you take a break from all of your other patients if today's mission is successful."

"Wait what's today's mission? I'm sorry I must-"

Steve responds, "We're retrieving the winter solder today."
