Thing's with the Cullen siblings have been tense ever since Edward had finally come back home and told them the truth about why he actually ran away to snowy Alaska. Since he admitted to the human being his blood-singer most of the siblings chose to ignore him mainly Addison and Rosalie both of them knowing the human was nothing but trouble, Addison chose to ignore him because she was still hurt by his words and was giving him space to breathe but she also knew that come Monday morning he would talk to Isabella even though he would be risking exposing the family's secret. Addison was right the moment she walked into the Biology classroom he was there in his old seat waiting patiently for the human to arrive, "hey Addie" she knew she was being petty and childish but she simply walked past him not looking up from her phone as she responded to Emmett's several text messages. Edward knew he should apologize to the brunette, the others had constantly been glaring and yelling at him for hurting their spice twin, she had been closing down around him like she did when they first met her and he knew it was bad when this morning Alice had chosen and pair of black leggings and a comfy sweater for her sister to wearinstead of dolling her up.

"Oh Addison, are we lab partners again" Angela was shocked to see the girl in her old seat again and her shock grew when the brunette sat her phone down to properly face her, "we always did make a great team" Addison replied with a polite smile. Addison liked Angela she never asked questions about her or her family and they truly were a great pair for lab partners. "Onion root tip cells that's what's on your slides, separate and label them into the phases of mitosis" Mr. Molina started as the two girls clicked the tops of their pens ready to get to work, "the first partners to get it right, win the golden onion" the teacher excitedly held up a spray-painted onion making Addison and Angela share an unamused look both of them giggling after. She would never admit it out-loud but Addison had missed her lab partner or maybe she just really hated sitting with Isabella. "Come on people tick-tock" Addison softly sighed pushing the worksheet slightly to the side before sliding the microscope toward Angela who gave her a polite smile as she snapped in the first slide adjusting the lens, "it's prophase". Addison felt pretty smug when she caught part of Bella's sentence when Edward told her why he had been gone "that's what Addison said-" maybe she shouldn't have been so smug but she couldn't help it she didn't like people accusing her of lying.

"Anaphase" Addison spoke before pushing the microscope back towards the girl as they both wrote down their answers on the worksheet falling into a weird silence. "It's none of my business but are you okay, your smile seems duller than usual" Angela blushed realizing her sentence sounded creepy stammering over her words, "not that your smile isn't breathtaking- not that I stare at your smile cause that would be weird-" Addison couldn't help but giggle covering her mouth with her hand as the girl contuined to stammer over her own words. "Angela calm down, I understand what your trying to say" Angela took a breath blushing as bright as a strawberry, "I'm fine Angela, thanks for asking" her lab partner nodded pleased with the response "oh and the slide is interphase".

Addison and Angela, unfortunately, didn't win the precious golden onion and they were crushed (note the sarcasm) honestly neither of them really cared as they walked into the hallway going their separate ways, Addison felt happier than she did before the smile on her face was actually real and bright who knew talking with a human could change her mood.

Addison jumped when her twin appeared when she closed her locker door and then she jumped again when her back hit against her husband's chest "Jesus are you two trying to give me a heart attack" she placed her hand over her heart with a teasing smile. "You're smiling, and making jokes" Alice cheered making Addison raise an eyebrow "yes I do tend to do that kind of stuff sometimes Allie" Jasper chuckled at his wife's sarcasm as Alice pointed at the girl with a wide smile "ha you did it again". "You haven't done either of those things since Edward's been home, I really missed your smile sissy" Addison's smile turned into a frown feeling bad for worrying her younger twin "I'm sorry Allie-Cat, I'll smile more I promise" Alice was pleased with her response wrapping her arm around her sister with a happy smile as Addison interlaced her fingers with Jasper's.

The rain had stopped but the parking lot was full of water and patches of black ice. The Cullen siblings stood beside their car listening to Alice babble on about something that had happened in her home ec class, Addison was quite cozy next to Jasper his arm was around her waist as he unconsciously rubbed small circles on her hip. "I swear Ms. Marsh almost-" Alice's sentence trailed off as a high-pitched screech echoed around the parking lot making all the Cullen's look around completely confused as the sound grew louder. The source of the noise finally came into view, a van that was spiraling out of control and heading towards Isabella and her truck, Addison was pretty sure she heard Rosalie say 'good riddance' but she was more focused on the look of horror on Edward's face and she realized what he was thinking about doing "don't you dare-" he didn't stop to listen to the brunette's warning or the siblings calling for him. Addison couldn't look away from the scene as the van smashed into the back of the truck before spinning around once again careening towards the two, she couldn't help but wonder if she was going to watch her adoptive brother die because of some human but the van shuddered to a stop making her let out a breath of relief before it was replaced with pure anger.

"What. An. Idiot" she growled as the annoying screaming began, people yelling, calling out for help, and people leaping to the human's aid. Addison sighed listening to Rosalie began her ranting, she placed her hand on Jasper's chest pulling his attention away from the scene, Addison nodded as a silent way of telling him to follow as she started towards the Volvo fully ready to leave.
