The entire flight Nick is jittery, she can't sit still. Going back to a place she doesn't even know if she is welcome, Tom has either turned off his phone or actually has blocked her number and doesn't actually want to see her. Regretting those voicemails by now Nick thinks to herself, not only does she feels guilty for even going to LA but she is also eating herself up over lying to Jay. Especially since he is in the hospital but what would you do? If the love of your life called you up, telling you he still loves you and is not going to stop fighting. Would you run to him and find out what might be? Or would you stick with the sure options and wonder forever what could of happened?

Being an impulsive addict, Nick runs right into the maybe open arms of Tom. Now that the girl no longer has drugs in her life, Nick needs something else to feed her addicted compulsions. So she feels it with being addict to a person, Jay was supposed to be the healthy way to fill the void but somehow Tom stood his ground and never left.

"Hey thanks for this" Nick climbs into the passenger seat, sipping on the ice coffee waiting for her "Appreciate it" she fist pumps with the driver.

"I'm just glad you called me and didn't go through this alone" Layla smiles at her as she sets off "have you spoken to Tom since the voicemail?" She asks her.

"Urm no. He's been avoiding calls since then" Nick pulls down her shades as they hit the highway.

"And Jay?" Layla asks.

"Urm he thinks there is a problem with the sale of the house. Told him I would come sort it out" Layla shoots her a disapproving look. Nick covers face with her hands "ok I know I know. But he got shot and was like my big baby and I panicked. Ok. I panicked. Couldn't tell him oh by the way my famous ex boyfriend just called me. I'm going to see him"

"Ok I get it. You wanna see if you're making the right decision" Layla states.

"Yeah exactly before I make the commitment to move to Chicago. Have you seen him since les deux?" She asks.

"Urm no but we've been out a lot in the last couple months and it's always Les Deux on Mondays, Playhouse on Wednesdays, XIV on Fridays and back to Les Deux on Saturdays" Layla informs her.

"Ok so today is Wednesday. So we go to playhouse?"

"Deal" Layla smiles at her friend, they've missed each other. "Hey Nick" Layla breaks the silence after 20 minutes of driving.

"Yeah?" She turns from the window to look at Lay.

"I'm really sorry for what I did. I was high and stupid" Layla apologises.

"It's cool man. I shouldn't of done what I did in the first place. You were karma biting me in the ass" the pair laugh like old times, like nothing had ever happened between them.

Eventually they pull up to the house, a feeling of nostalgic comes over her as she sees her front door for the first time in 9 months, a trip that was only supposed to last week for her. Caught her there for so much longer. Doubt starts to creep over her, maybe she shouldn't be doing this. There's a reason there's a connection with Chicago, there's a reason why she stayed for 9 months longer than planned. There's a reason for all of this and maybe that reason doesn't want her to be in LA anymore.

"so the house is really for sale?" Layla asks as they walk in.

"So peep is really moving to London?" Nick looks at her raising an eyebrow.

"Yup he is moving on to bigger and better things. Are you really going to sell the house of our summers?" Layla asks.

"We will see Lay. We all gotta do a Peep, move forward with our lives. Currently just stuck ain't we? Not moving forward, not moving back" Nick opens up the back door to let air in.
