"You alright?" Layla whispers in Nicks ear over the loud music of Les Deux. Nick just nods as she searches the room for Tom. Layla said he's always here on a Saturday. "Nick enjoy yourself. You go back to Chicago tomorrow" Lay hands her another redbull. This drinking shit is bringing her down a lot.

"I'm just gonna go to the bathroom" Nick whispers back heading off toward the toilets.

As Nick sits on the closed toilet lid, looking out at the  stall door. She thinks how easy it would be score right now, how easy it would be to numb out everything, forget about why she came to LA in the first place. Forget about Tom, about their life, about the reasons why she loved him in the first place.

"He's so cute" a voice on the side of the door speaks "he is just so charming and his dog is the cutest thing ever. She just follows us around the house and oh my god Willow goes crazy on the Hollywood hike. She just loves it"

Nicks hand stop her from screaming out in pain.

"So are you guys like official?" Her friend asks. The girl is clearly nodding "oh my god Charli. So happy for you and a british celebrity. In the bag" the girls laugh and then leave the rest room.

Tears stream down her face, her hand grips tight around her mouth, making sure no noise comes out. Once Nick is finally able to compose herself, she excuses herself with Layla, making some excuse that she doesn't feel well and heads back home.

Once inside the house Nick heads straight to the painting the spare room, throwing it across the room to reveal a safe. Her hands shaking, she enters the code as quickly as possible. Pulling out a bag of pills. Legal, well kinda legal and a bottle of jack. Once the pills are secure she runs into the laundry room, removing photo frame from the wall. Revealing a small collection of bare bricks, Nick removes the middle two and pulls out half an ounce of coke.

The next two hours are a complete blur, Nick spends it sniffing her life away while washing it down with the remaining alcohol in her house. She's fucked everything up, she ruined her relationship with Tom because drugs, she is about to ruin her relationship with Jay because of addiction to Tom and now she is about to ruin her life with drugs because Tom no longer wants her.

What happened to her? A year ago, Nick was the girl who moved to another country alone with no friends to pursue her dream and now she can't even go 5 minutes without being with someone. Love ruined her and well she is about ruin her own life.

"Hey Nico" a voice from the couch speaks. Nick looks up from spot leaning against the wall, staring at the couch, eyes so glassy and half closed.

"Hi mum" she says "what do you want? More money?" She ask like the last year have not happened.

"I'm dead remember" she's says casually.

"Oh shit yeah that happened" Nick shrugs her shoulders. "Well why are you here?" She asks

"You tell me. You manifested me here" Carol walks around the room "your dad left you a nice house" she laughs to herself.

"Am I dying? Are you an illusion of my OD? When Peep OD he saw his dad" she laughs to herself "I wish I could see my dad" she scowls.

"Even in your last breathes you still love him more" her mother laughs.

"So am I dying!" Nick laughs and then realises she is about to OD "there's has to be more of a reason why you're here" her mother takes a seat on the floor across the coffee table from her. Sniffing up a line.

"Baby" she says, her mother hasn't called that since she was 10 "baby you are smarter than this" she motions to the pill of drugs in front of her "why are you killing yourself?! Because of a boy?! Come on I raised you better than that!"

"You didn't raise me" she scoffs sniffing 2 more lines "I've fucked everything else in my life up. Why not literally fuck my life" she laughs as her vision becomes blurry.

"What about your Chicago boy?" Her mother asks.

"Yeah don't thinks he gonna want me. Once he finds out I'm not clean anymore and the real reason I came here. My bad decisions have a habit of coming back to bite me in the ass" she laughs to herself as she pops two Xanax "does it hurt?" She looks up at her mum with watery eyes. Carol shakes the bag of Xanax.

"Quicker than falling asleep" she laughs "you can stop it though" there's a pause "if you wanted"

"I don't want too" Nick laughs to herself. Never did she think that one day her addictions would consume her. She rests her head back against the wall, as banging starts at her front door "just gonna rest my eyes" she says as her eyes slowly close the world around her becomes black. The world slowly drains around her, like all the happiness and warmth are being sucked out. Just for a minute she rests.

The harsh lights of the hospital room pierce through her eyelids, the sound of machines beeping gradually have woken her up. Nicks eyelids slowly flutter open, sore from laying in bed for a long amount of time, her eyes dart to the right where someone is holding her hand, sobbing quietly. All she can see is blonde hair, no it can't be. He's really here?

"Hey" Nick says croaky from not speaking. Tom's head shoots up to look at her. He's been crying, his eyes are all red and puffy. She points to the jug of water by the bed. Tom kindly pours her glass and guides the straw to her lips. "What happened?

"Urm you OD at your house, me and Lay found you after you bailed at the club" Nick nods along, sucking her bottom lip to stop herself from crying.

"Why were you at my house? She asks trying to put together what happened that night.

"I showed up at Les Deux after you left, Lay found me and told me everything. I'm sorry Nick. I left you that voicemail and panicked. Once I was painfully sober I realised I have practically asked you to break up with Jay and be with me. That wasn't fair of me to do. But then you came up to LA" he smiles the through the tears. Holding her hand close to his face.

"It will always be you. It will never not be you. My happy ending is with you Tom" Nick says, her throat still sore. He looks up at her, eyes filled with tears.

"Really?" Nick nods. Tom smiles standing up kissing her and holding her tight. Never wanting to let go.

On the other side of the glass, Jay stands at the nurses station. Staring in on what happened. He lost her, she was never really his to begin with.
