Edited:
I drew the dress again so 🤷‍♀️ this one is a better version.

The wedding would be a pain but pain was what kept her moving. So when Rhea woke her up, told her to get in bath tub and get cleaned, she didn't hesitate.
The bath was annoying and cold. And Rhea looked careful than usual. Perhaps it was that her son was to get married today or some unknown reason. She still looked suspicious. And that was the first time Lilliana felt wary of the lady of the autumn court.
Isabella looked as unhappy as she was, it was because of being dragged out of bed. After the bath, Rhea had dried her hair, and then began on her face, the cosmetics weren't to applied yet but removing things and vanishing marks and pimples was time costing.
Though there weren't many pimples to remove, the lady plucked her eyebrows and waxed the tiny hairs that appeared randomly. She was waxed all over and that hurt badly. Her hair were washed again, and oiled and washed again. Her face was "cleaned" by the herbal cream they applied. Her body was oiled in an unnatural scent that wasn't hers. The oiling took an hour. Then Rhea had rolled her hair in rollers and left them in for the while they cut her nails and questionably gave her feet a pedicure. Which was irritating. Back at home, there was so such panic or need to perform all this, on Vivianne and Kallias's wedding, Vivianne had gotten ready an hour before the wedding, and here she was, getting pampered for four hours. Minutes blended into hours and time went by.
Then they brought the dress, she had gotten in it, it was her size and despite its modesty showed a lot of cleavage than she was used to. Perhaps the next time she'd see the high lord she's bash open his head and shove him into that dress while gouging his eyes out.
The dress looked somehow uglier on her despite Isabella's half hearted praises that were quite unbelievable. Then it came to the cosmetics, they lined her eyes with the kohl, dusted bronze glitter in her eye lids in a neat way. And then colored her mouth red. Which was going to be a pain to remove. And half an hour after that, they finally removed the rollers, her hair were curled something she didn't appreciate. They placed her hair into a bun and let two streaks fall on her face. Then Rhea placed a circlet on her head.
"Ready." Rhea chirped proudly
"Finally." Isabella muttered under her breath. She turned to look at herself in the mirror. She looked exactly what they wanted for her to look like. A stupid, bigoted, pampered princess.
"You look beautiful." Rhea said
"No, I look like a fool. No need to lie."
Rhea looked hurt but left the room
"She cares, you know?"
"Do I care? No. I'm going to marry into her family, no escapes now."
Isabella too stood quietly.
Then the door opened, and Lilliana beamed at her brother who quickly swept her up in an embrace, after her brother let go of her Vivianne practically pounced on her and crushed her in a tight hug.
"I missed you too Vi." Lilliana mused laughing
"Oh, I've been so worried, you don't even write." Vivianne said looking at her face checking for any injuries.
"I'm fine Vivianne." Lilliana said grinning
"Oh thank the gods." This was fussing
"Good to see you too brother." Lilliana muttered
"Will you give us a moment with my sister." Kallias asked Isabella who scurried out of the room.
Then Kallias turned to her and cast her a rouge grin.
She grinned back.
"Now, you're getting married and leaving home."
"I left home a while again, Kallias."
The air got a bit more chilly at that.
"Are you ready?" Vivianne asked interrupting
"Somewhat."
"Has Eris been good?"
"Has he ever been good?"
That got the two to think
"Good question sister." Kallias said
"But , to answer your question, he's been bearable." Lilliana, it was more of a question.
"You sure you won't die?" Kallias asked
"Kallias, you killed me the day you agreed to the proposal and what truly severed me was you knew it would."
"So kindly don't bother brother."
Kallias's eyes darkened and he sighed.
"I'm truly-
"No, don't apologize and regret it."
"I don't regret it Lilliana. It is my duty to secure my people a future." Kallias said confidently
"Securing it by giving up your sister." Lilliana was sure it came out harsh, but that was good.
"You don't understand, there would have been a war."
"You know, I'm not going to regret killing you if I had the opportunity."
"Lilliana."
"Oh Shut it, don't call me that. Amarantha should have killed you or she should have truly snapped my neck rather than scarring it." Lilliana said
Vivianne gasped
"You don't mean that." Kallias said shaking his head
"I do, I mean every word. And I don't regret anything brother."
"No."
"Yes, now walk me down that aisle, and truly drown me." Lilliana sad harshly
"I will." Kallias seethed
Lilliana didn't cry, because there weren't any tears left.
And then they left that room. Soon enough came to the set up area. The chairs were placed. The people were siting and the whole place looked clean and new. It looked pure. Unlike the people who sat. And there stood Eris, his hair shining in the light. The priestess stood behind him. There were flowers on the floor, roses mostly.
She could run and sprint and cross the border into winter and from there somewhere else. But the whole place was guarded.
So she grabbed her brothers hand and let him walk her to her doom.
Vivianne walked and sat down in the front row. And slowly she began the walk, and she reached but with every step, her heart cracked. She saw Felix stand to the side, a scowl on his face, Sirius stood beside him, poker faced, but looked happy. And then Zane, who was surprisingly standing near Eris but to the side. Beron and Rhea sat in the front row as well, and everyone stood up as she became visible, her pale hair shining in the sun. Her skin glowing because of the oil she had been bathed in. The bronze on her eyes shining too. And as her brother handed her hand to Eris's, she was sure she heard her heart fall and break into the many pieces that would be infinite.
She kept her face neutral but plastered a comfortable and happy smile. She just hoped no one saw through that and saw her crumbling inside, hoping for a ledge to hang on, to hold on to, but finding none. She took a deep breath and cast the most lovely smile on her face as she faced Eris. He looked surprised at that but quickly covered it.
And then the stupid priestess began her blabbering. She went on and then asked the two to speak their wows.
"I, Eris Vanserra take thee, Lilliana Mae to be my wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to the Mother's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge thee my faith." Eris said firmly
"I, Lilliana Mae take thee, Eris Vanserra, to be my wedded husband, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish, till death do us part, according to the Mother's holy ordinance; and thereto I pledge thee my faith." Lilliana said
"May you kiss the bride." The priestess said
And that was what she was nervous for.
And Eris snakes an arm around waist, she had to pull this off, not push him away or rigidly stand, she had to give in. And so she gulped and offered him a small smile. And then he pressed his mouth on hers. And she was sure, that said heart that was in infinite pieces was somehow racing too fast for her liking and the blame was on Eris. Now her husband.
And he was kissing her, she melted into it, willingly. And not because this crowd was watching, this occurred because she slightly liked him. Just slightly. He still made her want to commit murder but that was fine.
And then he pulled back, his lips slightly red because of hers. She was then sure she was slightly blushing. Though she cringed at his mouth that was now slightly red.
And perhaps she liked that.
She gulped again and faced Eris, totally not noticing, the small blush that creeped up his neck. The crowd clapped and soon enough she and Eris were greeting people, his arm on her waist. Form the corner of her eye, she could see Felix scowling as he sat alone on a table cradling a bottle of wine.
But right now, she enjoyed, because from tomorrow, or in an hour or two, Eris would start ignoring her again. So she enjoyed the hand that rested on her waist, and would occasionally pull her closer. She liked the pull, the warmth. And that somehow made her a hypocrite.

I like to hurt people. Yesh. Enjoy the happiness while it lasts they said.
Shit is about to go down in a few chapters
