"I find you confusing." Eris said
"Well how?"
"You say you hate me yet I wake up to you hugging me."
"I have no idea how that happened but let me assure you, it will not take place again."
"Sure." He drawled
"I'm riding out today." He said sitting up.
"Where?"
"To the capital."
"Isn't this the capital?"
"No."
"It's more commercial."
"Oh. But can I join you?" She waited for the rejection
"If you want to."
It took all her strength not to jump in excitement.
"Well when are we leaving?"
"In an hour."
"And we're riding?"
"Yes."
"Why not winnow?"
"I don't want to winnow."
She chuckled and got up and walked into the bathroom.
"I'll send Isabella for you." He called out
"Sure."
After washing her face and taking a bath with a lot of soap to wash of the oil she quickly changed into a shirt, trousers and jacket. Dresses weren't much suitable for horses.
Isabella had told her about her and Zane and she had someone to threat before leaving so she quickly tied up the laces of the boots and rushed out.
She saw Zane in the sparring area with Felix. She bid Felix a chirpy good morning. But she grabbed Zane's collar and dragged him to one side.
"Lilliana?" He said
"Listen to me and listen well."
"What?"
"Mess with her heart and I swear I'll remove your heart and feed it to your corpse."
"I'm not going to hurt Isabella, I'd rather kill myself." Zane said
"Well I'm watching you." She said rather pointedly.
He sighed and shook his head
She turned to leave
"And where are you going?" Zane asked
"To the capital."
"With Eris?"
She nodded.
Zane laughed at Felix's expression. The Male had gone red.
"The jacket suits you!" Felix called out
"Oh I know." She said grinning before leaving.

She spotted Eris talking to his mother who sighed.
Eris kissed her cheek and she then patted his head.
She walked to the two, Eris grinned at her. Rhea then snaked his head as if she read his thoughts.
"What?" He asked innocently
She glared at him.
"If he bothers you, do shove him of his horse." Rhea said, still glaring at her son.
"How long will it take?"
"We'll reach there in three hours."
"It's far?"
"Not exactly." Eris said
"Okay." She said
"Goodbye to the both of you, Eris Vanserra, don't you dare do anything that I wouldn't do, and Lilliana definitely don't do what I would do." Rhea said
"What?"
"She's confusing." Eris said linking his arm through hers and then walked away from his mother who was smiling. And she was dragged along.
He threw her a satchel, and then whistled.
A stable boy then rushed forward with two horses. Eris nodded at him and then took the reigns from him. The boy then scurried off.
"How long will we be there?" She asked
"Two to three days, if depends on how quick I'm done with my work there."
"Oh, it's in the south isn't it?"
"Yes."
South would be near the spring court, too near.
She then walked forward to where the horse was and climbed on it, after she was seated she then undid the muzzle and rein and threw them on the ground.
"What are you doing?"
"The poor guy is in pain." She said
Eris shook his head and mounted his horse, then he shook his reign and his horse lurched into action.
Her's followed his.
Soon enough they were far away from the forest house.
"Why isn't the forest house in the capital."
"The capital has a name."
"Amvale."
"Does this town have a name?"
"Oriaphia."
"That's a beautiful name."
Eris smiled.
"Tell me about Amvale." She said
"Its a classic rich place."
"What?"
"It has many wealthy classes living there, then there are the council offices and our other estate there. But mostly it comprises all the rich people. Even though my father hoards all the court's money."
"What do you mean?"
"You'll see."
"How."
And then the silent fields came into sight. They had crops, but the farmers with their scowls and glares made it clear that they despised their high lord.
And as they began passing by, the slightest chatter went silent, as they spotted Eris Vanserra, who had plastered a smirk on his face and coldness in his eyes.
This was the high lord's son. The Male who was in the forest house had been erased and this face was his face for the public.
A few who were in the way did indeed look in disgust but bowed their heads. And then Eris got off his horse and walked up to who looked like the leader or the chief. He handed them two pouches.
"This is all I could bring." He said
The Male bowed his head and nodded.
"Thank you."
Eris nodded back and then got on his mare and then they began to gallop away.
"What was that?"
"My father isn't exactly fond of paying the farmers for their harvests so I try to bring them all I can without causing a dent in our coffers that my father would notice."
"That's nice of you."
He nodded.
"Do they know?"
"Yes."
"I thought they wouldn't."
"They would know, I highly doubt there is someone who doesn't know in our lands, because when someone from the high lord's line gets married, it's known."
"Oh."
"Why?"
"I just wanted to know."
He nodded again.
"There will be some females in Amvale who'll be wholly against you."
"And that would be because of?"
"Jealousy?"
"Why would they be jealous, we're married for diplomatic relations between our court, we have nothing but slight friendship." Lilliana said
Eris flinched.
And she didn't notice.
"You're right."
"Of course I am." She said
"Just be yourself." He said awkwardly
"Will I be attending some meeting?" She asked
"Yes."
"You knew I would want to come."
"I was counting on it." Eris said shrugging
"So what will I be doing?"
"There is this sort of embroidery-
"I don't know how to embroider." She said
"What?"
"I am not joking Eris."
"God I'm kidding, no embroidery, you'll have to deal with a few grumpy old men, tell them their place and then you have a women's rights fundraiser."
"I have to do what exactly in that fundraiser?"
"You'll have to help them design pamphlets and fliers and also help around a few women."
"Sure I'm up for that but I didn't think there would be something known as a women's rights fundraiser in this court."
"It's a new concept, that's why I want you to help."
"Why me?"
"I don't know much about you, but whatever you have gone through that sometimes keeps you up at night, it might give you some peace."
"Oh."
He looked at her and his eyes were shining.
"Anyways I was wondering about the clothes." Lilliana said
"Your clothes are on their way to Amvale already."
"Wow."
He nodded.

"I'm getting tired."
"There's a lake nearby, if you want we could stop there."
"Yes please." She said
"It's this way." He said and the horse galloped a bit faster, she caressed her horse's head and then it neighed softly but then followed his.
