"MOMMMMYYYYYY" Maiko's sweet voice played in loop in my head.. The echo of her broken voice, how upsetting if only she knew..

Maybe Kurapika was right.. perhaps we weren't meant to have kids.. Especially in the troupe.

'NO, HE'S WRONG!' I heard an inner voice yell to me.

But.. Maiko would be so much happier if she wasn't here with us.. She could have been born into a happy family.. Maybe Suz (old friend if you look back to chapter  16), would have taken care of Maiko with Leorio..

'Don't LET the dead Kurta get into your mind! It's irrelevant and wrong. Maiko loves you, Feitan, and the rest of the troupe'

Does she really..?

'Of course.. You need to get your consciousness back up there! Open your eyes'

I did as the voice said. Opening my eyes. I only saw darkness around me. I couldn't see well.. It was slightly blurry.

'Here.' The voice said to me.

A pair of glasses dropped from above. I put them on, I was able to see clearly. What in the world happened to me up there.. The last thing I remember- is being in the flames and Maiko yelling out to me.. Is Maiko okay.. I know Feitan can handle the heat, though.

'I am your second consciousness, I know no more than you.. I do know you lost some sight with that fight.'

How do I go back.. Please, I want to go back. Voice? Where'd the voice go.. I'm all alone, again. Pitch darkness. I can't see nothing more than a little path leading to more darkness. Fuck, why me? When I get back, I'll beat the shit out of that little burnt dead body..

-- A few hours ago, when Y/N passed out --

"Feitan, where's Y/N?" Nobunaga asked the short male, still wearing his red suit. "Did she not escape to you?" Feitan asked, his heart pace raced faster, worried where the love of his life could have possibly gone to.

"Mommy.. I saw mommy up there!" Maiko pointed to the second floor, where she last saw y/n. "Shit-" Feitan said. He quickly ran back into the building, through the flames, up to the second floor. He looked around, obviously knowing y/n was unconscious, otherwise she'd be yelling for help.

"Where the hell is she," Feitan struggled to look for y/n in the flames. 'Why did I listen to her..?' Feitan thought as he found her body. Luckily the flames didn't reach to her yet, but she was still severely injured.

He removed his red cloth, placing it on y/n. He quickly went down, a few burns reached him since he gave his protection to y/n. His condition got worse, and managed to limp outside. "I found- her-" Feitan said, collapsing to the floor, also unconscious.

Nobunaga quickly scooped Y/N up, and Phinks picked Feitan up. "Mommy..? Daddy...?" Maiko asked, looking at the two nearly dead bodies. "Shalnark, get her out of here. Somewhere safe.. She can't see any of this." Machi ordered. Shalnark picked Maiko up and left with her somewhere else.

"Is miss y/n okay?" Gon asked Nobunaga about to reach to touch y/n. "Shut up!" Nobunaga snapped, kicking Gon back. The rest of the troupe left in a flash, to a near hospital.

-- Now's time/ Feitan's POV --

My head hurts.. like a bitch- I sit up, rubbing my head. I look around to see my surroundings. Nobody was in the room I was in. 'Am I in a damn hospital? How the hell did they get me in without birth information..'

I slowly got up, looking at my injuries. "Damn.." I muttered under my breath. I left the room, looking for y/ns room.

"Where the hell is y/n?" I asked a nurse, who looked up at me, worried. "Miss Y/N is down the hall, in room B27!" I quickly walked down the hall, looking for the room number. Once I found it, I slowly opened the door, peeking in.

"Feitan, are you alright?" Shalnark asked me. He sat in a chair closest to y/n. Shizuku's here? Did they tell her?

I made Shalnark get up, allowing me to sit in the chair closest to y/n. I gripped onto her hand. Her face as she was asleep.

"Y/n..? Y/n... Are you okay" I said. The others left, so I could have my moment with her.

(POV'S will be switching quickly, make sure you know who's POV it is..<3)

-- Y/n POV --

I heard a voice again, but it wasn't mine.. "Feitan..?" I said sternly, it echoed throughout the dark area, but I kept hearing his soft voice.

"Y/n.. I love you-"

"FEITAN!" I yelled. Tears streaming down my face as I cried out, "FEITAN, I LOVE YOU TOO."

-- Feitan POV --

"F-feitan..?" I heard y/n's voice. I let out a small gasp as I gripped her hand tighter.

"Y/n.. I love you-" I said to the unconscious body. Not knowing whether this would be our last moment together or not..

"Feitan," she said. I don't know how she's able to speak at an unconscious state, "Feitan.. I love you, too." Tears formed on my face hearing that. The reassurance that she loves me, and only me.

"Y/N.. Come back to me- please.." I nearly begged.

-- Y/n POV --

"Y/n, come back to me- please.." I heard Feitan say out to me. Is he with me? Where am I? How do I wake up? "FEITAN. I LOVE YOU-" I saw a somewhat light in the dark area. Not knowing what was beyond the path, I ran towards the light. I kept sprinting. It felt like the more I ran, the further the light would go.

"PLEASE.. LET ME GO HOME" I cried out. I tripped over nothing, falling to the ground, "FEITAN- MAIKO- THE TROUPE- LET ME GO HOME, PLEASE. I BEG OF YOU," I sobbed even more.

"Y/n.." I heard a really close voice. It sure as hell wasn't Feitan's voice. I turn around to see a ghostly version of the Kurta. My heart raced quickly. I crawled backwards away from it.

"Y/n.. You deserve to die.." the Kurta said, getting closer to me. His ghostly chains wrapped around me. He stabbed his judgement chain inside of me.

"Y/n, die" he said. My heart exploded. I gasped loudly, opening my eyes to see white lights. As my eyes adjusted to a slight blur. I look around to see a blurry black figure.

"F-feitan.. is that.. you?" I asked.

-- Feitan POV --

I sat quietly hearing her slight screams. I was afraid, I don't want to lose this woman.. I just can't. It's impossible. I sat back into the chair, looking up as tears rolled down my cheek.

I heard a gasp from her body. I look at her to see her sitting up, looking around the room. Her eyes didn't exactly make contact with mine, but she was looking at me.
