Forever Mine

Chapter 7

It feels like hours. Hours until he finally comes back to unlock the door. I hated that I had to wait around for him. That I had to depend on him. That's exactly what he wanted.

I hear the door unlock. I try to not look too desperate, like I was waiting for him. I pretended I was reading the book that had been left on the night stand.

"Are you done with the attitude?" He says in a snappy tone.

I roll my eyes and take a breath. I didn't want to be stuck in this room any longer. I knew I had to suck up to him. Just for a bit.

"Mhm." I mumble.

"What was that?" He puts his hand to his ear and smirks.

What a prick.

"Yes." I mumble.

"You must be starved, do you want to eat?"
"Yes I guess a little."
I didn't even realize how hungry I was until now.
"Can we talk? I have a lot of questions."
If I'm going to be stuck here then he needs to be honest with me. Especially if we are "married."

"Depends what you ask me. But yes. We can." He grins.

He always had to be an asshole somehow didn't he?

"Oh and can you show me around?"
I realized I hadn't even checked out the boat.

He just laughs.

He showed me around the whole boat. It was huge. I don't understand how they have all this money. Especially after jail. I saw in the news, their company went straight to the ground as soon as they went to prison.

We sat at the kitchen island and had lunch together. The boat was utterly quiet.

"Where is everyone?"

"Emma, Ryan and Ella are taking a nap together. They are such a cute family together." Liam smiles.

"Where is your mom and dad?"

I was surprised i hadn't ran into them yet.
"Well my mom wasn't living in Utah obviously, she was living with her sister back in California. So he had to go back there and get her. They are already on a boat as well."

"Oh."
It was so crazy that he felt this was somehow normal.

"How did you even find me anyways? I know you had that asshole Robbie follow me but, how did you even figure out where I was?"

"Curious girl today, huh?" He grins.

"Well you did take me and hijack my wedding so I think I have a right to know." I snap and give him a fake smile.

"I didn't ask for the attitude. I was just joking." He rolls his eyes.

"You weren't the easiest to find at first. I had assumed you would stay in Colorado, your parents live there and you said how much you loved Colorado. You don't really have a social media presence so that was a bit tricky too. But I had people begin to follow you. Learn your habits. Listen to your conversations. Once it was coming closer to getting you back that's when Robbie came in. I was going to take your before your wedding, less risky but I wanted to see Chase's face when I got you back." He gave an evil grin.

"You don't see anything wrong with that picture Liam? You ruined my wedding!" I yell.

"A WEDDING THAT SHOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED! YOU AND I ARE MARRIED!" He slams his fist onto the granite counter top.

It causes me to jump.

He looks down at the ground in embarrassment. I didn't feel like hearing another apology.

"Why did you only send notes? Emma didn't get anything from Ryan."

"Because it was too risky. My dad and Ryan had no idea I sent you that note and the whole flower thing. But I just had to send you something. I wanted you to know I wanted you. That I was coming back to get you."

"This won't last you know. They will find you Liam."

He laughs.

"You're so stubborn. Always have been. Not much has changed about you. Maybe just that you've gotten more beautiful." He took a strand of my hair and played with it.

"You can't tell me you feel nothing for me." He whispers into my ear.

He rubs up and down my arms causing goosebumps.

He takes my hand and gives it a gentle kiss. He smiles at me. I wasn't stupid. I knew what he was trying to do. He was trying to make me fall for him. It never would happen. I was engaged to Chase. Chase was the only one on my mind.

The thought of him made me tear up. I threw my plate into the sink and ran upstairs.

No surprise, Liam comes up shortly after.
"Baby, hey what's wrong?" He runs over to me and wraps me in his arms.

I try to pull away but he doesn't notice.
"You wouldn't understand Liam." I cry.
"Please, talk to me. I want to help you." He reassures.

"So you really want to hear how much I miss Chase? How I hate it here? How I don't want to be forced to have a child with you? You think you can help me?" I reply in a smart tone.

He doesn't say anything. He walks out of the room. Not long after Emma comes into the room. I let out a sigh of relief when I see her.

We talk forever. I feel better about things even if they are inevitable. It's just nice to know I have her.

Liam's pov:
"You can't possibly be angry at her Ryan." I roll my eyes in annoyance.

"I'm angry at both of you."

"You were going to be a dumbass and actually take her to the court house and she completely dumbfounded you! You're still letting her walk all over you. Look at Emma and I we are so happy to be a family again."

"One. You need to get over the court house thing, I learned my lesson and I am much smarter and stronger now. Two, the only reason Emma is acting like that around you is because of Ella. She loves Ella more than anything, more than you. She's afraid you'll hurt Ella or worse her and then you won't be there for Ella. You're too stupid to see that."

"Fuck off dude you're just jealous that my girl likes me. You had to crash a wedding to get Avery back. She was going to get married to someone else!"

"Emma was talking to Evan you idiot! He was going to replace you."

The anger rising in both of us.  Emma and Avery walk down. As soon as I see her my anger instantly extinguishes.

She was such a light in my life. She was everything I ever needed and more. I couldn't wait for our honeymoon tomorrow and to have a little one of our own running around soon enough. That would shutup Ryan. I know Avery loved me. She was just confused. I just had to remind her what we had. We had some good times together. I needed to remind her of those.
