Golden threads of the pleasant spring morning brightened the luxurious boudoir, while the amber vintage french wall mirror reflected the essence of a broken young woman.
Noor stood rooted at her spot, looking back at her reflection, dwelling in the reality she has been living in for the past few days. It has been two days since Noor found out her sister was alive, two days since she had made the most crucial decision of her life.
Noor knew no matter what, she would protect her family at all cost. She would go to any lengths to keep them safe, even if it was at the expense of her own life.
Many thoughts were running around her mind; on one end, Noor was happy that her baby sister was alive and breathing. But on the other end, she was heartbroken because she knew she only had a few moments to cherish this precious miracle from above.
She still remembers the bitter words Mihir Rizwan spoke through the phone the night of the ball.
Flashback......
Noor was rooted at her spot upon hearing the voice of the very man she loathes; her blood ran cold as she spoke her next words.
"W-what d-do you want in return?"
"In return of Ayla, I want you. So tell me, Noor, who do you pick, your sister or yourself?"
Upon hearing the very words, Noor's steps staggered backward, but she knew what she had to do, so with great pain, she told him her final answer.
"I-I will do whatever you s-say just give me back my sister."
Even though Noor knew what she was about to do, she knew she had to tell Irtaza and Ahaan everything, but just as she was pondering over her thoughts, the sinister voice of Mihir brought her back to reality.
"Ahh... I know what your thinking Noor, but don't even think about it; If you tell your husband or brother-in-law anything, I swear your sister won't be the only one who dies tonight; they will too.
And I'm not bluffing because, as of right now, one of my men has eyes on your lovely husband and brother, so if you make the slightest clever move, you will be responsible for losing three important people in your life in a matter of minutes."
As much as his very words fueled absolute rage within her heart, it also terrified her to the core. Noor couldn't risk Irtaza and Ahaan's life; after Ayla, they were her only family, and no matter what, she wouldn't put them in any danger.
