I was singing in the lab while i was reading an email from Helen. I turned back quickly when i felt a pair of hands on my shoulders. I saw my boyfriend of 2 years smiling at me.

"Yeah well, i had a project that i wanted to finish before your birthday so Tony and i were working on that non-stop." i said and he asked "You're making something for my birthday? With Tony?" "Yes and yes." i replied. "Technically he just helped me make a few adjustments and improvements but the idea was mine." i talked again. "Okay, when am i going to see it?" he asked happily like a kid who got a new puppy. "On your birthday." i said and he frowned a little because there was still 2 weeks until his birthday.

When we arrived there Bruce held my hand like someone was going to kidnap me right there. We talked to a few people Tony had invited and went to the table filled with our Avenger friends. "Happy birthday Bruce!" Steve said and he hugged him. Bruce hugged him back not leaving my hand. Loki was also there since he was a good person now and he said happy birthday to Bruce before he told me i looked good. We were close with him and Bruce was sometimes still worried that he could still be bad. I thanked Loki and i left Bruce's hand going to the bar with Natasha. He frowned but i mouthed him i'm going to the bar and he nodded. "You guys are amazing and i'm gonna borrow that dress next week if it's okay with you." Natasha said and i chuckled saying of course. We went back to the table and i also got a drink for Bruce. I handed him the drink and he thanked me before kissing me quickly.

y/n was wearing that dress i bought her as a birthday present last year and she was looking amazing. I couldn't help myself but look at her every once in a while. I opened the door to my room still holding her hand. I closed the door and let go of her hand. She looked at me like she wanted to say something but decided not to. "What happened?" i asked concerned. "Nothing, i just left your present in the lab. I'll go get it back in a few minutes." she said and went to the lab.
