"Where the fuck you been at?" Duke asked.

"Out... what's wrong with you?" I asked him with my face scrunched up.

"What's wrong wit me? I don't know where the hell you at. Thats what's wrong with me."

"You out here leaving yo phone and shit."

"Okay that was an accident.. You need to calm down and stop talking to me like that."

He took a deep breath and sighed.

"My fault ma. Ian mean to come at you like that I was just worried."

"I accept your apology."

"What made you leave in the first place?"

"Oh y'all ain't tell him?" I asked looking around.

"Tell me what?"

"Luke out here snatching me up like he done lost his mind."

"Man I apologized for that shit.. I'm sorry."

"Sorry ain't good enough." I said and walked away.

I went to my room and called someone I haven't talked to in a minute.

The phone rang for a few seconds before he finally answered.

"Yo." He said.

"Hey. Whatchu doing?" I asked.

"Shit i'm boutta go smoke wassup?"

"Nothing. I just wanted to see what you was doing."

"Yeah right. How it's going up there?"

"Honestly... I think I wanna leave."

"Why? Something happen?"

"No... I just don't think the college life is for me."

"Yeah right. You sure something ain't happen? Cause you know I'll be there in a heart beat."

I laughed and said "Nothing happened Mj."

"Aight i'm just making sure but if you leaving is something you really wanna do you know you always welcome over here."

"Thank you... I'll let you know by the end of the week."

"Aight." He said before hanging up.

"Ameerah..." Luke said opening the door. "Can we talk so I can explain?"

"It's nothing to explain. Nothing excuses your behavior."

"I got a lot going on and I took it out on you. I'm sorry."

"I wanna leave." I blurted out.

"What?" He asked.

"I don't wanna be here anymore. I wanna move out."
