I woke up with Duke's arms wrapped around my waist. I didn't want to wake him so I gently removed his arms and slid out of the bed.

I walked out in the living room to see Luke sitting on the couch with his hands on his head.

"You look stressed out."

"You not ready to see her yet?" I asked.

"I am.. it's just an overwhelming feeling." He said.

"I have so many emotions going through my mind." He added.

"I bet. It's gonna be ok though."

"It's not gonna be easy but everything gone be alright." I said.

"Preciate that shawty." He said.

"No problem." I said getting up to give him a hug.

When I walked back in the room I seen a freshly awaken Duke sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Yo ass love sneaking out of bed. It's cool though." He said.

I smirked and said "Chill. I had to pee."

"Yeah right. The bathroom that way." He said pointing.

"Don't do that. I like cuddling with you, I just went to talk to Luke. That's all."

"Yeah aight."

I started to look for an outfit to wear today when Duke sparked the conversation back up.

"So what did you do in the time you was away from us?" He asked.

"You mean what did I do in the time I was away from you?" I asked.

"I didn't meet anybody new.. I didn't rekindle anything. I didn't entertain anybody." I said.

"I really used that time to focus on me and what I wanted. I didn't get all the answers but it was a start."

"Yeah I hear you... what did you figure out?" He asked.

"My future.. the present. It's all gone come together soon. I feel it." I said.

"I have to start putting out positive energy so it can all come back to me. Good karma." I said.

"I hear that. I'm excited to see you change for the better." He said smiling.

"Me too. You excited to see your niece?" I asked.

"Hell yeah. You?" He asked.

"Of course. I love babies."

"Yeah I can tell by the way you was acting the other day."

"Chill out. It was baby fever."

"Yeah aight. You heard what I said. The offer still stands."
