I was on the bus as we were on a school trip while I dozed off here and there. I was exhausted. And the events from the night before were fresh in my mind.
«Hey Bella!» called me Lodovica, getting my attention «Didn't you sleep? And why you have a creepy doll with you?» I yawned «I slept maybe an hour or two... My insomnia is getting worst and on top of that my heart started acting up. And this doll? Well, her name is Layla and she's... Uhm... A special doll that I need to keep with me. For the anxiety you know.» Lodovica shrugged nodding «Makes sense. I would have chosen something cuter but you do you.» I smiled and yawned again mumbling «Ugh... I'm so tired...» I looked down at Layla, who looked back at me, no one noticing of course, as I asked her «Do you think I could take a nap?» «As long as you keep me warm.» she telepathically spoke making my eyes widen as she added «We can communicate telepathically. I can read your thoughts if you want me to.» I nodded also talking to her in my head «Why do you keep saying you're cold?» «I just am. Hold me tight please.»
I sighed and held Layla tight, but I couldn't close my eyes and sleep, too scared of having a nightmare, so I got lost in thoughts.
Who were those girls? And that girl with bangs? What do I have to do with her? Why me? Why all of this must happen to me?
Layla talked to me «Sorry, but once you connect with me I'll keep reading your thoughts and I can't help but tell you something. First of all, I've sent a bunch of pics on your phone, open it and I'll tell you.» I scrunched my eyebrows about to ask her how she did that, but decided that it would have been a dumb question. It was surely magic or something.
So I opened my phone and went on my gallery, selecting the first new picture.
