Stefan's pov:
It was getting kind of late and elena hadn't come back. I was at work when she left me a message saying she and the gang were meeting up at mystic grills. I thought I should cook something nice today, it would make her happy. I started cutting up tomatoes and making my classic spaghetti for dinner. Suddenly I see that the light went off. I have no idea how this happened. I went to check it up but before I got to do that the lights started flickering . I started getting scared now. "WHO IS THIS?!" I heard someone screaming.. A woman.. Elena.. I went in the direction of the screech and realized the noise was coming from our bedroom. "ELENA?! WAS THAT YOU? WHO IS THIS?! THIS IS NOT FUNNY!! " I tried to hide the fear in my voice. I ran with shaky legs towards the bed room and the lights suddenly were turned on. I saw an unconscious.. No.. A dead, bleeding Elena on the bed. "ELENA?! no no no no no- this can't be happening this can't be happening this can't be happening- Elena please- you have to wake up please-" suddenly the lights were off again. I see someone laughing .. A shriek sort of laughter.. I was so scared. Someone touched my shoulder. I got startled and screamed in fear . I turned to see that he had no face. I ran with all my speed and stumbled down the stairs and fell face first. I see the.. Person? Thing? Coming closer to me with a knife in his hand, I got up and started running but the kitchen top stopped me .. I felt the knife on the kitchen top cut my hand but I was too scared to care about it .. "WHO ARE YOU?! WHY ELENA?! WHY US? " It was evident in my voice that I was scared and crying. "STOP THIS! ENOUGH! HE'S SCARED-" I heard someone's voice.. Damon's voice. The lights were turned on and and I saw Elena running towards me. The scary person took off his mask.. It was matt. Tyler bonnie and Caroline came out as well. I slid down to sit leaning on the cabinet, still shaking because of what I just went through.

Elena's pov:
"Oh my god stefan I'm so sorry" His hand was bleeding and he had a bruise on his head. "Elena.. " He was still processing . It was just a prank. I didn't even want to do it. My friends thought it'd be a harmless funny thing to do. I hated being a part if it. Clearly, damon too. "Sorry brother i- we- we didn't think you'd get harmed-" Everyone joined and started apologizing. "YOU DIDN'T THINK I WOULD GET HARMED? YOU THOUGHT I WOULD BE OKAY AFTER SEEING THE LOVE OF MY LIFE BLEEDING- DEAD!? " I saw tears streaming down his face, " YOU THOUGHT IT'D BE OKAY TO RUN AFTER ME WITH A KNIFE?! YOU THOUGHT THIS WAS FUNNY? " "I'm sorry stefan, i- I really am.. We were drunk and stupid and- I don't know what got into us- I really am so sorry. " He was shaking and sobbing. Damon got closer to him and started running down his hand around his back for comfort. I cupped his face and wiped off his tears. "This will never ever happen again. I promise.. I'm so sorry" " I- I thought you l-left me" He said, with his voice cracking. "Hey, I am never gonna leave you, I'll be there with you, always. " " Yes brother, you're not getting rid of her easily" Damon said ruffling his hair, this got him to chuckle. "Let's take care of this now, come " I said pointing towards his bleeding palm. We all regretted this but thankfully, it was all okay now.

Author's note : sorry for this late update.. I hope u liked this. It's kinda funny how I ship steroline lowkey more than stelena and most of the stories I've written in this book are stelena lmao.
